I'm in time!

Happy Birthday to our youngest GOW - surely that should GYW.

Roll up your leggings or wear wellies to your birthday party. Get hyperactive on coke and other E numbers. Eat jelly and cake till you're sick - then leave mummy and daddy to clear up the mess.

That's the whole point of birthdays - whether young or old.

I'm ever so slightly puzzled,
why some are so confuzzled
It's Happy Birthday handy,
May it be just fine and dandy.

(She's better at poems than me)

Thank you all for your kind wishes
And for KJ for explaining
It was Sad who crossed the wires,
So to her please be complaining!

It is indeed MY birthday
And I got both gifts and cards
And a chocolate hedgehog birthday cake
Of which we've eaten half!

We had pizza for our dinner
And we've been to the museum
Then it's Steam Fair day tomorrow
Traction engines - we will see 'em!

I'd like to share the message
That my brother sent to me
It says on my new drinking mug
"Handy - Keep Calm... Make Tea!"

(((((((((((((GOWs)))))))))))))))))))

So - Happy Birthday to you - and you can get hyperactive on coke and blue smarties etc.

Sounds good to me!

Actually, we raided M and S and we're going to have a midnight feast in a minute - Camembert with dip, stroganoff with wild rice and tarte au citron. And some proper ginger biscuits. And silly telly.

Hooray!

Happy Birthday Handy
I'm sorry that I am late
and that for your birthday greeting
you had to sit and wait

But better late than never
is a general rule of thumb
so hope you had a great day
from the UpsidedownunderPlum

Now it's time for me to go
And cook this evening's dinner
or everyone here will complain
that they are getting thinner

I won't complain for as you know
we all say NO to Lard
Now I'll shut up and stop this verse
Because I am no bard

Oh and btw, I've got an interview next Tuesday - eeeeep! Only casual part-time admin work - but it would be better than a kick in the teeth!

What Amica said - vibes for the interview winging their way ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I dunno, you try to give a girl a compliment by referring to her as 'young' and see what happens

I am grumpy today, in a nonspecific arrrghI'mrunningoutoftimebeforeMrSadgetshome kind of way

Good luck Plum - loads of it - and even if it may initially be casual, getting through the door is a major step.

Belated Birthday greetings HandyMelon. Hope it was a great day.
Good Luck ImaPlum with your interview.

Himself is decorating the downstairs loo. He has removed the door, toilet, cistern and the radiator and is hard at work drilling, sawing and swearing as he lays the new floor. He sat the door, toilet, cistern and radiator outside the front door as there isn't any room for them in the hall. Some dweeb has stole the radiator from our front garden! He only noticed when he popped out to get some special screws.

The Combat Corgis are on high alert now. They are ready to take any other stealy thief down!

A very belated Happy Birthday 'young' melon.

I've been down the Hole of Horkum and up Simon's Seat in the last couple of days. Someone had to do it.

(for those who know it, that was all the way up Simon's Seat - the friends we took were quite shocked...)

Scary rain with thunder and lightening earlier. The water was bubbling up from the drains .

Himself is still working away on the downstairs loo and swearing quite a bit. I'm keeping out his way and keeping my thoughts to myself incase he takes the hump and downs tools. The new radiator we had to buy 'cos some gherkin stole the other one from outside our front door is apparently a bit of a sod to fit. Going by the swearing I'm surprised it hasn't been launched through the wall.

Young Sad is on the night bus to Scotland

I just know I'm going to still be awake at 4.30am when he's due to arrive there, fretting in case they forget to pick him up from the bus station

Mr Sad has fixed the washing machine... damn, that means I have to use it ...
