I hate marking. Just thought I'd mention it.

And it's flipping freezing today as well.

Grump!

Hope it was something fab SnOwy.

Nackardoed today. The children whose company I enjoy presently can be quite hard work. ( like a school report - read between the lines!)

Might not make the next three weeks without imploding . Roll on Jubilee week.

Happier bunny tonight We may have managed to get the coursework situation resolved. As a teacher myself I'm always p*ssed off when fellow professionals let the side down by being petty and vindictive when the little darlings (yup, more reading between the lines ) hack them off. We all know it's tempting, but you just don't sink that low... anyway, Mr Sad went in to do battle this morning and it appears that certain staff members who MIGHT have been thinking 'ha!!! serves her right for being late' are now decidedly grumpy indeed. As this is my daughter's future at stake, they can be as grumpy as they like, so long as they're fair.

And breathe....

It also seems that the person at work for whom I was contemplating a slow and painful demise has decided to get another job elsewhere. B*gger. Might have been tempted to give the new role a try if I'd known he was going. Still, my overwhelming urge was to take the money and run, so that's what I'm doing. One thing's for sure... it will be less stressful in the short term.

Stick with your gut instinct, Sad. At least then you know where you are and you can regroup.

Is your little darling grateful for the intervention at all?

I had a great time Monday night, Comedy Night at Palace with Jo Brand, Sean Lock, Alan Davies, Kevin Day, Seann Walsh, ... and a decent hangover yesterday.

What have Andy Murray and two May Babies got in common?

Hello Grumpies!

I'm just dropping in to wish the May babies, KJ and Snowy a Happy Birthday.

I read this thread from time to time and see that it's business as usual here.

Nothing new or strange here although spring has somehow forgotten that it was supposed to show up right about now.

I hope you're all having a nice day.

Greetings awol.

Regarding birthdays, I know diddly, so if you've had one recently, I hope you had a decent day.

Current status is pretty mellowed out after listening to a couple of CDs I've recently bought. Rick James (the troubled man) and Joyce Sims. Some further details in the electro thread.

Joyce Sims - Come Into My Life (The Very Best Of Joyce Sims)
Rick James - Wonderful

I did notice your absence.

I didn't get cake but I got chocolate, despite the PC Central Committee banning everything except lentils. How you're supposed to eat lentils when they've already banned spoons is beyond me.

I wonder where darn sarf Amica is? I am available at short notice for flying visits, if only to return the favour.
