Lucky snowy!

Re the music - I'm an eighties babe, but strictly alt.

Ultravox, The Mission, The Cult, Joy Division, Japan... I like my eighties big, dark and dramatic, please!

Though I'll allow some Bronski Beat, Communards, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, New Order and Echo and the Bunnymen in there. Oh, and Big Country.

If anyone starts singing Stock Aitken and Waterman cr@p I refuse to be responsible for my (re)actions...

((((((((((laura))))))))))) - thinking of you, as ever.
Always good to see you when you drop by

SAW did some pretty good stuff in the early days, e.g. O'Chi Brown and Princess, before they went commercial. See the techno thread.

And you're definitely right about Japan. Quiet Life and All Tomorrows Parties etc.

I take it you know the story about Milli Vannilli.

Anyway. Snap! were a lot better, IMO.

On an away trip to Sheffield I walked down the street with Heaven 17 on headphones. It had to be done. Those girls in Human League could dance round their handbags for England.

I've added some Human League to the electro thread. There's some Heaven 17 earlier on, i.e. do a search within the thread.

I can't post those on the techno thread. I'm pushing my luck already.

Btw, I'm amazingly pissed.

We appear to have a new forum bug, as highlighted in the thread below.

Nice hangy. But gone now.

It's difficult typing anything remotely sensible, when you see two of everything.

And I'm working on one right now. With the pre-recorded Eurovision on. The Hump is magnificent.

My cure is listening to dare I say it, some music.

It's been a bit quiet on this thread today. I hope I haven't scared you all off. It wasn't my intention, especially as I was given a good welcome back.

Still no laptop at home, so I'm a weekday GOW atm - although hopefully I'll have my own back for the half term hols next week. Don't worry, jra, you didn't scare me off!

Spent the weekend spending money
Summer clothes needed for little one, and her feet grew *again*, so shoes and sandals and socks *again*... anyway, she's kitted out for the summer now and we had a nice time getting the stuff, so that's sorted.

Just this week to go, then the Year 11 have effectively left and we draw to the end of another year... where does the time go????

I'm about to crack open an ice cold PG. I wasn't going to but I've done loads of work and a morning meeting tomorrow has been moved to next week. So, I'm home alone, I've an oaty face pack and some Lush bath bombs, and not much in for supper. This has the potential to go either very right or very wrong.

Fabulous evening I'm sure. I'm in bed with the kindle and a huuuuge bluebottle is flying around , divebombing every few minutes. I hate the dirty things.
