Wet here as well.
I'm trying to be less grumpy than usual. Listening to this right now. Love Enuff - Soul Ⅱ Soul http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NabvHITUXV0 My phone came through, after a few calls to Carphone Warehouse, since initially I was given a green card (non-delivered like the PO red card). Just to cheer you all up, this Sunday morning. I Care(SoulⅡSoul)-SoulⅡSoul http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=greCtXwgOvE |

We got caught out because we couldn't get out of the train station on the south side of the river, had to double back to London Bridge, and by then it was all roped off. The place was heaving. |

We've been walking in the woods, and it was lovely. There were 3 swans on the lake and they glided over to see us. Beautiful. I wouldn't want to get into an argument with one, though. Big beasties. There used to be a really aggressive one on the canal behind our house when we lived in Amsterdam. It was always ready for a fight. A bit psychotic.

Not a happy bunny.
My new mobile Orange SIM hasn't got any credit on it. It's supposed to be £10. Was going to transfer from new Orange SIM to old Orange SIM. |

![]() I was watching the boat thingy down the Thames on the news this morning, I came over all nostalgic and wished I were there, but truth be told, even if I were back in London, I doubt very much we would have gone up there to watch! Lovely to see all the celebrations that are going on, not much happening here .... and when I say "not much" I haven't actually noticed anything! On the home front, we should be moving out in a couple of days and so will begin another chapter in the Plum Odyssey. I picked up the Pumpkin-mobile on Saturday and it's a thing of great beauty and orange-ness. I am yet to comprehend why I am loving an orange car, so far all I've come up with is (a) insanity, which is quite likely (b) a tribute to batty and me@home in it's amsterdam/netherland orange-ness, which is unlikely, but hey it's better than being mad or (c) ......... Ok I haven't come up with a (c) yet but there is time! I said to LittlePlum that we should get a cuddly pumpkin and put it on the rear parcel shelf but we might have to wait til Hallowe'en so she suggested that in the meantime we get a tin of Pumpkin soup and velcro it on - she really is a chip off the old block! Just at a point when I need as much work as possible, work has cut my hours - eeeeep! We'll be living on student rations, cup noodles and beans on toast! Speaking of students, the social worker at the aussie version of the DHSS (or whatever they call it these days) is trying to persuade me that I should go to Uni. Too late for this years mid-year intake but if work doesn't pick up between now and the end of the year, I might very well give it serious consideration. Did I tell you that LittlePlum is doing a book review for the newspaper? My girl is a journalist-to-be! Looking forward to seeing her name in print, I shall be sending copies everywhere Well I better get back to the bombsite that is otherwise known as LittlePlum's room and try and work out how to transfer the contents to another house. I'm getting desperate so I might just shovel it all in to big black binbags and take it all with us and sort it out when we get there! or put her "treasures" in a bin on the way ![]() Still not sure what my internet situation is going to be after this week. I'm hoping that I will be able to connect to their internet, failing that I'm not sure I can afford mobile broadband, so will have to wait and see. One thing is certain though, Arnold Schwarzenegger styleeee "I'll be back!" |

Effing freezin'
![]() Just been to the jubilee shenanigans in our village and wrapped up like it was February. In fact I think it was probably warmer this February. Contemplating thermals for the party tonight (hog roast... will be pushing the hog out of the way and jumping on the cooker myself). In true Jubilee and community spirit the whole village has turned out today except my kids, both of whom opted for a PJ day instead - although Little Saddette has now bogged off to the cinema.Plumster - if you see this before you lose the internet - sending you the warmiest of vibes for the smoothest of moves and freshest of starts. Will be thinking of you ((((((((((((Plums))))))))))))I think I'm going to make a flask of Baileys coffee to take with me tonight, sod the Pimms.

Around 20 degrees in sunny Yorkshire.
*waves at Plummy* Come back when you can and tell us how you're doing. I'll keep everything crossed that things go smoothly.
