I know when you think of all the worry

Of course now I have to go into training so I can keep up my end of the bargain - I made a promise to climb a certain mountain if Joe got a new label so I start tomorrow

Goodness me it's been a while since I've ventured across here.
Used to spend all my time on here.
Now that there's a new chapter beginning for us and Joe maybe a few more people might find there way back here in the near future.

Hi ya!

Would be great - this is where it all started for me - I remember wanting to post for ages but I'd never done anything like this before and now to have met so many of you and been all over the place on the Joe quest it's amazing where we are now.

I'd love for more to jump aboard - it's great fun

Really looking forward to Bents Park. Think it's going to be a brilliant gig. Lots of new songs to look forward to I think.

Looking forward to the new album too.
I'm not really worried if it is going to be all covers as long as it doesn't become a habit.
Once Joes name is out there again and people remember what an awesome talent he is then he'll have time to put an album of original songs together.
For now I can live with him singing Nessun Dorma and Somewhere Over The Rainbow. TBH I can't wait to hear what he can do with SOTR. Expect him to knock spots off of Leonas version.

Remember to tune into Terry Wogans radio programme tomorrow at 11am.
If TW has as much clout as he used to have and he likes Joe(how could he not) things could go very well.
A while ago TW championed someone on his show(can't recall who) and got them masses of airplay.

See I said I'd be back.
Just have to rustle up the rest of the motley crew now.

Yay! A new beginning!

There is going to be lots to chat about in the next few weeks and coming months and I hope more come in here to share it.

It has been lovely to see Joe on the TV again and doing his interviews and that is before the album release.

I want to bring this over and put it on this first page of a New Beginning. The conversation just about sums up everything about Joe and where he is at now. A positive and happy time in his career.

This also deserves to be on Joe's first page of his New Beginning. His version of Jessie J's song is fabulous, but the lyrics reflect what really matters to him, as he has indicated during an interview. That a really great, young, singing talent like Joe is heard and brings a lot of pleasure to masses of people. That is what is important.

No more pressure by egotistical maniacs whose barometer of success is money and cheap chart positions.

Just the pleasure a true talent brings.

It is exciting and at least this time we don't have forever to wait

I'm taking the so called track lists with a pinch of salt TBH - it just seems to be rehash of an article with some added and some taken away and Joe's interviews don't really fit with what's been said.

Just excited he has this big label sign him and we'll have an album soon - and that's our soon not Joe's

Hey all, just dropping in from the Cher Lloyd AT to show some appreciation (geddit?) of Joe after billiesmith posted in our thread:

Just thought you guys might like to know that Joe McElderry is doing a takeover on Metro Radio this morning and has just played Swagger Jagger and was very supportive of Cher
Didn't hear it myself but, as I mentioned in the Cher AT, it's nice to see Joe showing some respect and open-mindedness towards Cher, especially when there seem to be dozens of people like Example as well as ordinary people who can't seem to keep their mouths shut and just have to stick the knife in somehow. I think even you guys are aware of the public's general opinion of her atm, and if not then one look at Swagger Jagger on YouTube will tell you everything. :/ So again, although I'm not a fan of Joe per se, I have a lot of respect for him now. Congratulations to him for getting a new record deal too. The good thing for him is that the public seem quite neutral towards him, so there's likely to be more scope to win over new fans, which is more than can be said for Cher, who currently has one heck of a mountain to climb. :/

Hi Nelsonator - Joe has also faced a lot of negativity and we always appreciate it when someone says something nice about him so I thought you guys would like to hear that Cher has some support out there. Joe has always been supportive of Cher - he supported her on the X Factor - and said some nice things about her today.

I wouldn't have thought that Joe McElderry fans and Cher LLoyd fans would have much in common - they are totally different artists - but Joe and Cher probably have more in common than we think - similar experiences at a similar age.

I have the feeling that Joe has had more interviews in the past week than he did in the whole of the time with Syco!

I liked Joe from the beginning when he auditioned and followed his "journey" through to his eventual (and inevitable) win. I was, like you, very disappointed in the follow up. He was the unfortunate victim of the campaign to stop Cowell's bandwagon. I think that is part of the problem he had with Syco.

When he came onto Popstar to Operastar I didn't know what to expect but he, as the saying goes, "blew me away"! I am not a fan of opera as such but do like some of the arias. I think Joe could fill a gap in the "cross over" singers. There isn't a young male singer to fit that bill and Joe could certainly do that. I would also like to see him in a West End show but don't know which one. Something new would be best.

Joe's first audition seems like a million miles away now doesn't it and all what happened in between and here he is with a brand new mega label and probably new management too - which I can't wait to find out about.

It's actually very interesting to see what Joe will do but I think this album may be an attempt to bridge between 'pop' and 'crossover' but who knows.

I wonder will he give any more away on Terry's show?
