My only gripe with STV is when buy or second run ITV shows then schedule to then later drop them to then later appear months later? What is the point? I understand US Dramas/Sitcoms have mid season breaks etc but for a show from ITV that STV are now "affilated" with, so I guess they can do what they please in reality (no matter if it is an ITV show let alone be one of their cheapo programmes!)”

In my region, I have ITV Wales, and when they do the opts out of Good Morning Britain for the local news, that's gose tits up on a daily biases, it's quite entertaining to watch actually.

I agree it might be entertaining to watch but at times it is cringeworthy to see - heck there was once on STV News (North), report didn't run but cameras were rolling and the presenters were complaining of getting home after reading the news (drinking juice too), this was a couple years ago but come on, in a way you can't say nobody was watching something like this unfold and could call a cut or just play the video?, just to me STV North and STV Central (Clyde) seem to show hardly any communcation between themselves it became a joke (should be a wake up call to all the ITV networks really)

Also you may as well add that programmes will be subjected to a +1 week as well so another knock on effect ---- So I take it Wednesday night no change to original line up, this year Mr and Mrs survives being a week behind (guess viewers did complain and noted the "difference"), but Joanna Lumley's Japan and by second guessing it'll be on about 1035pm?

Question - not been following it but has STV been showing Northumberland Series 3 from start or has this been randomly shoved on? Didn't realise they were showing it, last time I remember on here seeing an episode from series 2 "randomly" appearing? (again I wonder if viewers have complained and that they have this as a priority? ... maybe next they could get Wild Ireland and may other shows shown and get done with than take the piss with it)

Yes, Joanna Lumley has been shunted to 10.35pm as Lorraine's Big Appeal (part 2) screens 9-10pm. At least STV are showing it and not dropping it.

As for Northumberland again yes they have shown series 3 uninterrupted (so far) and we are up to & including part 4 this Sunday. If we get through 5-8 without an interruption it will be a minor miracle!

AAH ok ... so Joanna Lumley is at least shown later .... as for Northumberland so I take it then its a small recap so far of 4 episodes (episode 4 being on Sunday), yes I do wonder if it will get a complete run especially on Sunday! Or will it be dropped without announcement to see a highlights show of the STV Appeal (I have a feeling this will indeed pop up)

I shouldn't be surprised that Northumberland has been dropped - this is exactly the problem STV needs to get a grip with! If someone is series linking this for STV/STV HD only and is mysteriously dropped how are people meant to follow this exactly? They are defeating their own purpose - may as well sign up to ITV Hub to watch it in FULL than wait on it finishing or quite possibly restarting from episode 1 again!

Surprised STV are showing films on a Friday night (for now)..... most of the year its repeats of Richard Wilson and The Chase .... STV just lacks in showing films even late at night but will happily network with ITV if its Harry Potter, James Bond (the irony!)

Celeb Home Secrets - caught an episode of this on ITV (VM) I thought it was going to be rubbish but actually it was not bad -- but I think this show STV will dodge or show next year and just like every year muck about with certain shows without an ending....surprise surprise!

Caught the ad for "are you dancing" left me more baffled than answers ... apart from a clip of people dancing to old classics ... like the time STV buggered up Downtown Abbey with "Downtown" (the irony!)

I see STV is at again with a +1 week film (I wish ITV would put half decent ones than the ones on constant) but then again whats the point? STV will choose certain ones to network with and drop the rest even if its new to the ITV network (must be in STV's budget not to air newer films as ITV), but be Harry Potter, 007 , they will tag along without issue!

Countrywise - i'll throw it out there I guess expect this in 2017? (to be aired up to ep 3 to be later dropped to then be networked by ITV in 2017....)

The + 1 week film showing - absolutely no need for this nonsense as they could easily just keep it the same film as ITV. As for Countryfile yes that will probably happen like that - after all why should they change their habits now? Embarrassing.

Do you mean that STV, in its trailer for Downton Abbey, played the Petula Clark song "Downtown"?

Yes both I and Mr Sirs mentioned this - this was at the time STV played catch up on series 1 I believe of the show - even reported in this thread http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showt...php?p=83780622 . supposedly used again more recently for their autumn programming now we call "fall"

The +1 week "thing" they have shouldn't be happening in first place - I have never known any UK channel doing a +1 week, its bad enough this lot can either follow a show for so long to drop it let alone run it themselves to do the same thing, STV should be called ShamblesTV! I wonder if soon enough the missing shows will accidentally appear on the STV2 network next since reading on another thread Corrie from the beginning has recently started on STV Edinburgh/Glasgow (correct me anyone on this....)

Countryfile? Thats BBC , Countrywise ITV, but of course your right there - STV does seem to be in a habit of showing dated material .... presenters speak about Autumn, us in Scotland will see it in the Spring! Wonderful from the powers that be at STV!

I noticed that Coronation Street was the most watched programme on STV City (as BARB are referring to it) when it was on (20k viewers).

Corrie - most watched programme on STV City - 20,000?, I presume if they show this on the relaunch of STV2 I guess it'll get 80,000 (or they hoping on that), also again may as well be pointed out but its an ITV programme (Granada) its not even relevant to STV! (again programme based more in Manchester than friggin Glasgow!), on the other hand it must make the STV programmes they show all do hit the skids

Out of the top 10 what are the channels "favourites" - Corrie and mostly Taggart! (3x for Taggart) .... lets just rename the STV City channels forget STV2 or "city" names just rename it STV Taggart!

Yet Rebus seems to be shunted (been ages since STV advertised for the locals) in favour of Taggart, yet you would think probably do a rota ie Monday, Wednesday Taggart, Tuesday Thursday Rebus? (again don't have a local yet) but very strange scheduling to have Taggart back on (again).

I presume maybe this is why STV has done this and in their own words been a "success" for them - yet to me I have always said this was more of a backoor STV2 via local but at same time surprised at OFCOM given them the licences and allowing a basic simulcast come from the Clyde with part local opt outs ie news/mag shows (and again this will be what it will look like when Aberdeen, Ayr, Dundee launch ... all coming from Glasgow .. so Glasgow is more local to me then I take it?)

2014:-

SECRETS FROM THE SKY & HOTEL IN THE CLOUDS (Nov)”

STV doing one off documentaries - what gives? I briefly popped into that "are you dancing" programme - had to laugh though, STV approached the people of Govan (rolls eyes), was half expecting this was a programme out of the North but from Govan, surprised no Rab C Nesbitt appearance

NOTE: ITV3 are showing Heathrow: Britain's Busiest Airport (again give ITV credit when its due) they are at least airing it with no interruptions - one has to really guess that ITV is picking up STV's mess no matter the programming, be Ray Mears, More Tales from Northumberland etc (I would also guess this is the channel to keep a look out on since we all know by now STV just stop/start programmes without announcements!)

According to ITV's own site http://www.itv.com/hub/britains-busi...ow/2a3168a0001 its just recently aired
