NOTE: ITV3 are showing Heathrow: Britain's Busiest Airport (again give ITV credit when its due) they are at least airing it with no interruptions - one has to really guess that ITV is picking up STV's mess no matter the programming, be Ray Mears, More Tales from Northumberland etc (I would also guess this is the channel to keep a look out on since we all know by now STV just stop/start programmes without announcements!)

According to ITV's own site http://www.itv.com/hub/britains-busi...ow/2a3168a0001 its just recently aired”

I watched this week's People's History Show (Tuesday night 7.30pm). Despite my earlier observations on its content ("welcome to TONIGHT's show" and "see you next Tuesday") which would need to be edited out if it aired at a different time and/or on a different channel it's not a bad (if lightweight) 30 min. show (well 20-25 mins if you strip out the ads). However once again the amateurs at STV failed to announce on Tuesday night that the programme wouldn't be back next week (due to the football), so we had Sarah Mack saying "see you/on next Tuesday's show" with no voice over the credits at the end saying it would return not next week but in 2 weeks!

What a way to treat your viewers...

You would think even one of their own shows to announce the correction - but again seems like STV these days don't know how to! Are the people running STV have any clue on what they are doing seems to be alot of miscommunication! ... its going to be more odd if not already aired on STV Glasgow/Edinburgh aka STV2 soon - they air the show on a Monday and we still hear presenters say - "aye see you Tuesday"

I think STV are playing with fire if they announce "days" in shows - ie see you next tuesday, if you watch an ITV documentary or series you will get a "next time" instead or the odd "next week" but again I see hardly any point STV airing ITV programming ie Countrywise when if we hear a "next time" it could end up being next week, next month or next year!

Editing shows - I think in that they don't know how to in that area either! Remember when they aired Taggart at 4pm? Uncut but of course STV blamed ITV for "short notice", yet look at UKTV (Alibi), they use to air Taggart at 8pm (I think it was the hour or 2 hour ones), edited may have looked odd but it was edited to fit in - STV's excuse was blame ITV -- its your show STV edit the programmes if they need it, not just throw it hope for the best! ...

Stop moaning about STV, I assume you are NO voters who are anti-anything Scottish.
They are doing ok, on target to turn £20 million profit this year! See this:

I once heard someone say that to assume makes an ass (out of) u (and) me - see what i did there? Why bring politics into it - you have no idea what or if I did vote, and my (or anyone elses) political or nationalist/unionist leanings have nothing to do with this thread or debate.

Stick to the debate on STVs schedule, otherwise why bother posting in here assumptions?

Proud to be Scottish, Proud to be British - but as for STV its an absymal channel that the truth, making more profits? Wow so does ITV! STV is more cheap with its programming than anything let alone its a channel that can hardly complete a series let alone edit its own shows... Do the profits actually go back into its own programming or is it more to the shareholders and bosses?

Even if I did vote NO do you really think STV would be a channel made of milk and honey? I doubt it it probably be looking in bad shape with decade old South Park repeats and MTV programming ... oh wait that DID happen, let alone they hardly announced when these shows would appear again.....ahh typical!

So Gino is being aired on Sunday? yes indeed for how long? Wild Ireland also returns with episode 2! .... seriously is STV programmers drunk or what why show "wild ireland" from epsiode 2, why not just restart it from 1 then go forward? .... remind me again what is the point of STV's "remind me" service? If someone is series linking Wild Ireland, I bet it looks completely stupid with the mess that STV is done! Let me guess we will get to 4 then sudden stop? Then expect next batch in new year? For an ITV documentary series to be mucked around like this, whats the point in STV getting it? We may as well let ITV(ITV3) just do the repeat/first showing than rely on STV to complete a run!

Their treatment of these ITV programmes is shoddy and amateurish to say the least.

But thats what I mean - If you like Robson Green, James Nesbitt programmes or classic example "cornwall with Caroline Quentin", how exactly are you meant to series link this if your relying on STV on freeview per se and including their HD service if the shows start stop restart and be shoved around? Let alone they hardly air these shows after 12am each night since we get "teleshopping" and then After Midnight, and the Nightscreen to then resume for Jezza!

Easy way to do this is .... if your planning on buying these shows air them at same time as ITV or if your planning to schedule it, stick to a certain day and time of week (but then again even their own People's History Show has its errors and thats STV's very own show)

Question is will STV catch up with 2 films missed on ITV - that I highly doubt!

Also was watching Scotland Tonight with Rhona (I presume the part I was wathing was pre-recorded), anyway whilst there was a woman in studio yapping to Rhona they had a guy in a studio - let's say there was a mic issue even when it was finished there was no apology let alone just a simple "apologies for sound issues for...." not a thing, I ended up more turning the TV down than up but the only time volume was up was in the STV studio with Rhona but the guy in the other studio had to turn down! -- oh well at least its not an STV North issue

Yet another example of how this bunch of amateurs treat their audience with a lack of courtesy and respect. Very poor, but no surprise from this lot.

Thats what surprised me was even if it was pre-recorded someone was bound to have known his mic was having issues but to not even acknowledge it afterwards it left me more baffled (and before anyone asks), I did check STV SD and HD during this and it was affected on both, I am that use to watching STV North news where at times you have to turn it up for Dundee or let alone if they want to break the sound barrier turn it down and turn it up for Aberdeen

Judging by social media last night apparently they cut off the X factor results show 2 mins towards the end with a blank screen and a vt clock, with no apology, im not been funny have they got a work experience guy in the playout centre, they are worse than ITV Wales.

Was x factor running late? (overran) as STV are known to this - done it with footbal or let alone during the fiasco with ITV (footy still on), STV panic stations to put on another programme whilst we wait for "news at ten".

STV don't do apologies - even in their own programming, the approach is "aye well viewers seen it but we don't need to apologise", yet if BBC(Scotland) done this hell would break loose - front page of papers.

Read in Sunday Mail John McKay says "scotland tonight will be a national treasure" - seriously a news programme a "national treasure"? I'd rather watch RT!

here then are the STV OPT OUTS for Sat. 29th Oct-Fri 4th Nov. As always programmes may be subject to change, with the ITV showings in brackets:-

Primetime variations:-

Mon - JULIE & JIMMY'S HOT WOKS - NEW Once again STV ditches WILD IRELAND (1 appeared months ago then 2 in recent weeks ) in favour of another of its own cheap cookery shows (Gino's Italian Escape - 4 of 7)

Tue - THE PEOPLE'S HISTORY SHOW (last in the series) (Fishing Impossible)

Fri - ELAINE C SMITH'S BURDZ EYE VIEW (last in the series) (Countrywise).

Late night variations:-

Sat-Fri TELESHOPPING (Gambling) plus...

Sun - MURDER SHE WROTE & JEREMY KYLE (Motorsport)

Mon - (Jonathan Ross)

Tue - (Murder She Wrote)

So with no WILD IRELAND this week STV have now started and stopped (at least, and excluding all the programmes in the past) 3 programmes from our "no show" list (below) originally aired on the ITV network. They are:- FURTHER TALES FROM NORTHUMBERLAND (ditched after part 4), BRITAIN AS SEEN ON ITV (last episode not shown) & of course WILD IRELAND (1st shown a while back, 2 shown recently).

Such inconsideration of the viewing public and lack of any "programme will return in 3 weeks time" (for example) announcements just sums up this discourteous and deluded broadcaster.

2016:-

GINO'S ITALIAN ESCAPE (Series 4, parts 4-7, Oct)
COUNTRYWISE (Series 8, parts 1-15, Sept)
FISHING IMPOSSIBLE (parts 1-10, Sept)
CELEBRITY HOME SECRETS (parts 1-6, Aug)

I remember when STV North news gone tits up, we got the gremlins at work excuse, but of course as there is no one really doing voiceover, poor woman from STV Clyde had to apologise and we got a scotland from above show til the connection for STV Clyde but of course nothing was mentioned after the reconnect

This is at least the third cooking show from them this year (Scottish Kitchen and American Cookbook). The kitchen area seems to be a permanent built structure in their studio. Bring in some cooks for a few quid and hey presto a TV show.
