Back from holiday today so will post STV OPT OUTs for this weekend and next week shortly!
Seiko I always enjoyed Weir's Way (showing my age a bit

) - obviously originally and repeated broadcast early evening in its entire episode length.
As for during the night - absolutely no time for Nightshift - produced by amateurs on the cheap and the content is awful (there's not much worse than seeing dated clips of celebrities and hosts).
Former through the night progs - Casey Kasem's America's Top Ten!

The Hit Man and Her (Michaela Strachan and Pete Waterman!) Cue The Music (rock concerts) etc.. etc..
Prior to "Through The Night" STV followed the network and closed down after it's own Late Call around 12.30am. Can't remember the date but ITV network launched a night time service offering the progs. mentioned (incl. films) over 7 days to a big fanfare. Remember watching the films Betty Blue and St. Valentine's Day Massacre in the first few weeks.
For a good number of years it was acceptable and as far as I remember STV didn't veer much from the network (although branded it Through The Night). It's just in recent years STV's night time output has been poor - although to be fair Mon/Tue/Wed is better.
Probably won't happen now, but ITV/STV should agree to show old American comedy & cop shows from the 70s/80s , films, repeats of its own dramas/documentaries etc.. - but that would all cost money and yet if they did it they would be less of an embarrassment as a national broadcaster lagging behind many digital/satellite channels nightly offerings.
