Comment: Notable absences from the STV schedule this week are Poms In Paradise, Cornwall with Caroline Quentin & Lewis on Sunday afternoon (why not play that instead of the Columbo repeat STV??) .

Still no sign of a return of Scotland Tonight, and STV fail to screen the 2009 network premiere of Public Enemies on Friday night (when will that appear??).

On a more positive note, STV have a good line up of OPT OUTs for Monday/Tue/Wed late nights - but as Kezo mentioned no show for Motorsport!

Not quite as strange as someone who posts something as unconstructive as what you've just "seconded".

Quite simply if you don't like what you read why bother reading it and posting something unhelpful to the discussion?

Sorry if I keep bringing it up but thats just utterly shameful for STV just to "abandon" programming and yet the viewer is still left without a clue on when it will appear ... just goes to show STV really don't give a f...k about the viewer!

I would expect "Public Enemies" to appear the following week as I noted a few films ITV1 show during the week APPEAR the following week on STV ... would be easy to network that then if no sign of "scotland tonight" ... I wonder where that also went?? been axed (hope to be proved wrong) but like what STV do anyway is axe it "quietly" as usual.

Next week they air Parenthood instead of Sixty Six movie - so that means Sixty Six is shunted to the Friday night and no show for Public Enemies! Where is the sense in that?? If they had followed the network with films after the 10pm news then they wouldn't have to keep bumping and having to find slots for films - they are just giving themselves more work.

STV love giving themselves more work to do .... what do you expect (again not personally at you lol) ... STV can't schedule anything properly .... but I guess I am right in saying that then STV is shoving now films a week behind ITV1 now rather than network those at same time....

I have a feeling "Grampian" worked alot better when it networked with ITV but since STV has happened its becoming more shambolic than ever before!

2nd september?? why that long? I took it as a programme that was going to be on all the time ... oh well things will be moved now to 11pm if anything or will be delayed by a week or so again....

They must reckon there will be no news in Scotland over the rest of June, July or August!

UTV does stop UTV Live Tonight in the Summer, though for a few weeks, not 3 months

They must be waiting til september to speak AGAIN about "independence"

Damn we missed the "top 5 we need to know for the next day" ... the #1 would have been "we are not on til September"

Glad I don't watch it anyway but I prefer its layout now reminds me of the good ol days apart from they bring on the nightshift from the Thursday night.....

I guess its to "evaluate" its situation being a "ratings winner" at STV (the usual guff STV feed the public) :yawn:

I really cant see "scotland tonight" lasting being quite frank ... its going to stop again over crimbo next! ..... I got my "white flag" at the ready

UTV and STV must do it differently but looks to me excel you speak sense 3 weeks stoppage but few months but this is STV remember they bring out programming and suddenly stop (for some odd reason) or like the good examples recently POMS/Cornwall start them up shove them randomly (bugger up POMS and its off completely) as of Cornwall got no idea when that will turn up next! When I read the UTV listings in the Sunday Mail listings they seem to have at least an idea on programming even if it ends up like UTV Tonight is kept on but STV is just shambolic at what it does its not getting any better I find it going to get alot worse!

Get your facts right, people.

STV should rename itself the "ITV Shuffle" as all they ever do is "shuffle" programmes ITV first broadcast (which could have been networked) but decide to cock up everything at the same time .... Genius STV ... you bunch of dimwits!

Caught the "benidorm" ad tonight on STV couldnt grasp it but they "flickered" a light switch for "Scotland" and had "Benidorm" in place ... seriously are we meant to take this channel seriously ANYMORE? I can't!

Also I have been following the other thread regarding STV's logo (DOG - Digital Onscreen Graphic) .... they nickname it a "bug" What the hell is a "bug" STV?? .... Is it to "bug" the viewers off (seems doing a good job so far) ... seriously STV needs to get its act together ... so STV Management if your stuck for knowing what your "displaying" google it and find out than telling your viewers its a "bug" .... the management havent a clue in the world on what programmes to run but are more than happy jump ship to now show "new" midsomer murders and off ITV1's back end of reshowing Benidorm (series 3 I think) and thats totally blows their theory completely of its "irrelevance" to scottish viewers .... oh well hopefully the STV public will begin to realise how much of a FOOL its made of the Scottish Public believing they done the "right thing" and clearly its backfired massively
