STV do love repeating their own "shows" .... little imagination .... had to laugh at your comment regarding Police Academy you think maybe STV would have changed it to some other Police Academy than the one on ITV4 .... oh well ... I would rather watch it on ITV4 than STV ... expect STV will be running the entire series of films of Police Academy or is this just a one off you reckon??

Who knows with that lot! They decide to run a 28 year old movie instead of premieres the network have shown recently (e.g. Inglorious Bastards).

Comment: Unbelievable, but true! CORNWALL with CAROLINE QUENTIN disappeared off the STV schedules, but makes a return this weekend - not even on the same day as before, but a Saturday teatime! Whilst CORNWALL returns to STV, POMS IN PARADISE is nowhere to be seen on the STV schedule (not even later in the week!) - another mess up, as it "relaunched" this week, and ITV1 continues it's repeat run.:sleep:

Later on STV screen an old episode of TAKE ME OUT, whilst ITV1 viewers are treated to a film.

On Sunday, STV is still playing catch up with THE HUNGRY SAILORS, and on Monday STV doesn't show Paul O'Grady's new series, but instead launches the APPEAL. The film DEEP BLUE SEA makes an appearance late on (shown on ITV1 this week).

On to Tuesday, and once again the APPEAL pushes out the networked Unforgettable series. Later on STV trots out THE CUBE repeat whilst the network has a film from 2006.

As for the launches and moving about of programming ... Viewers will eventually turn off by this if they are following it .. obvious to me STV are oblivious to what they are doing. I think its just best STV just stick to networking with ITV on repeats than do it themselves as its clear they can't do it.

STV got plans on Movie Premieres yet? Oh wait they are already running behind films already on ITV which included films from 3-5 year ago - possibly STV cant "afford" them yet and wait on ITV to finish the rights before broadcast .... expect that be 2020!

Suggestion: rather than STV screen Nightscreen/Nightshift maybe they should use that time to well maybe play catchup on films?? ... or just run missing programmes in that time .. but how I forgot STV are just lazy scheduling as usual

I think the most important thing to note this week is that STV could not be bothered to do proper full-length news bulletins on Monday despite it not being a Bank Holiday in Scotland, instead showing ten minutes like England and then flinging on You've Been Framed. Whereas BBC Scotland rearranged their schedules to do a full-length Reporting Scotland (and also a full-length national news at six while the rest of the network got twenty minutes at 5.30). There's no excuse for that. It's a joke of a channel.

Later on at night there was no Scotland Tonight - it was replaced by a 30 minute (repeat) of an STV Appeal show.

How about instead of STV Appeal an Appeal for STV from us!

Time Stv lost their license and give someone else a chance to operate channel 3 in Scotland.

Maybe Alex Salmond should be thinking of breaking up Stv instead of BBC Scotland lol

Possibly Alex Salmond believes that STV has been the greater good for Scotland with this channel .... has he actually seen output coming from the old Grampian area .... afraid not ... as STV Glasgow is slowly eroding us away as I barely see any programming on its output coming from my area ... its a shame but I would rather have BBC than STV!

STV may as well be THANKFUL to ITV to commission a drama as since the dispute began STV imported dramas than made them. Will this be a stepping stone for STV to gain some credibility back? ... I'll hold my breath for now

Let's hope that's a step in the right direction - but they should have been building on their successes (e.g. Taggart) and been doing this years ago - then they would have quite a portfolio to promote.

Instead, they have produced cheap tat for the home market and when we get news like this it is the exception rather than the rule. :sleep:

Comment: The STV APPEAL dislodges a few programmes this week - notably Paul O'Grady (Monday), The Sweeney documentary (Tuesday), All Star Mr & Mrs (Wednesday) & Football (Friday).

Once again Poms In Paradise vanishes and is nowhere to be seen!

The previous STV Appeal (For Viewers.....) raised over £1 million. I have no doubt it is for a good cause, but once again viewers are short changed in theprogramme department. All the 'weel kent faces' will be there with Lorraine Kelly leading the charge and Michelle McManus helping out.

Can we expect Tam Cowan?

I intend to record what I hope is series 2 of Scott & Bailey on ITV3 tonight at 9. A 3rd series is being filmed and STV apparently plan to show the 'missing' second series before then.....

Yet POMS was on Last Tuesday on STV but this week STV throw in The Cube instead

Yes so how can they show a programme then decide not the following week? STV can only keep up to date with the cack they throw on instead ... its a miracle! ... STV are at the p!ss here obviously they are showing Cornwall "slowly" yet programme was broadcast LAST YEAR on ITV1 .. and to put it into more context programme was RECORDED last summer not THIS SUMMER (with the broadcast on STV makes the programme laughable!) - give it time ITV1 will have another series of this one year on and STV will be TWO years behind! .... POMS will end up being on that same boat. If STV is to be taken seriously as a Scottish broadcaster it needs to buck up its ideas on these programmes as its obvious they don't care about these programmes and where they place them. I actually watched Cornwall on STV at weekend there I was more confused on where they were since its been like.....FOREVER since it was last on!

I do appreciate the STV APPEAL is for good causes, and I suppose they need to bum it up all week in front of bigger audiences in order to attract higher donations and/or bigger total at the end.

I guess they are caught between a rock and a hard place there - if they put it on after the news (at Ten) it wouldn't get as many viewers and lose its impact - prime time it gets the viewers but we miss out on the other programmes.

As you say, the same old faces will be trotted out - and that's what's so tiresome about the whole station.

Looks like STV have been edged out as far as Underbelly is concerned. The signs don't look good for them bidding on future series, based on the fact CBS have just snapped up the first 3 series for screening in the UK. :sleep:

Underbelly now going to CBS .... oh thank god for that .... oh well at least CBS won't ruin it like STV did in the beginning "dubbed" it with John Michie ... as STV described this programme as it was "Glasgow" .... yet if they looked up North it possibly be a different story But STV don't do that do they? All of us are on an "island" or "wiped off the face of Scotland" as far as STV are concerned...

Oh ITV3 are screening SERIES 2 .... good on them (again) ... ITV doing the repeat for the Scots whilst STV p!ss take as usual .... now what was the other programme STV "opt out" of and ITV done the COURTESY .... "Benidorm" ... STV is ran by muppets who have no real idea on programming ... shame really since if you compared their scheduling now to 90's. In 90's they had more of a CLUE on when to screen programmes (either be later or next day or even the following week) STV as of now just put a programme on (Cornwall example) stick it on one week at a time then decide to put it on a different day different time or the third option MISS it for few weeks/months THEN decide to return to show it .... seriously?? .... it is coming more across as a JOKE of a broadcaster

As for the STV Appeal .... I am surprised they are running the same "celebs" ... I guess STV are running "short" on celebs .... on the STV Walk ... we have Fred McAulay and John McKay (eh??) and this year Meechelle SINGS and Lorraine Kelly hosts ..... I understand too if its for a "good cause" but obviously STV should throw some of its PROFITS the to charity than ask the viewer

More surprised STV "care" to give to charity but it doesnt "care" about its loyal viewers on its programming .... sounds like double standards in my book!
