I did say STV will also have two other slots for opt-outs in peak times. I take it this series will go out on 9pm Tuesday?

Scotland's Greatest Tram Systems......
From the brief clip, Annie Lennox is featured. Doubtless Lulu will appear and unless they take legal advice The Proclaimers will be roped in. I hope those in the ITV1 region who praise STV for their groundbreaking programmes where they opt out of the established schedule take a minute to have a look at the cheap and cheerless dross which makes up *99% of their 'home grown programmes'. STV's Underbelly it aint! (*The 1% is, of course, Vet School!) - with its route from airport to haymarket....How the hell anyone can say these programmes are "groundbreaking" is beyond me ... they may as well be "groundbreaking" to throw in a skip! Oh well I will give MTV more credit in doing "homegrown" programming "Geordie Shore" than what STV give us "scotlands greatest" its not even a series! - its one off cheap crap! Underbelly aint "STV" programming its Austrailan ... may as well call "nothing to declare" made in Austraila - a "Sky" programme next what was it STV said "relevant to scotland" way back ... the only thing REALLY relevant to us Scots is the garbage that STV churn out to make a name of itself ... I guess STV don't do "like for like" anymore ![]() EDIT: more suggestions for Scotlands Greatest as follows....Biscuit, Coffee, Bus, School, Teacher, Pet, Farm,Tree.... |

Doubt STV would revive any of them possibly "postcode lottery" whoops sorry "postcode challenge" again ![]() EDIT: just a question to all here - If this was ITV making these sort of programmes that STV are doing ie "scotlands greatest" surely ITV would be getting alot of stick for it would they not? (ie change programme names to English/British greatest landlady)?? |

Yes, Kezo, here in Edinburgh we would be top of Scotlands Greatest Tram Line (not).
It would be cheaper to pay Kate Winslet to carry would be commuters into the city centre in her arms.......and considerably more popular. Now, a look at the roadside drains of the city. Scotland's Greatest Grate......

"how do you rate it" "would you let your kids listen to it?" - oh well at least it will not be sponsored by "homecoming" ... that was last year (funny that they could have covered all topics last year but obviously dragging something NEW out now (well not new really scrapings off the barrel again) )so if STV is so great in what it does I don't see it getting better - there has to be more to this than meets the eye - possibly the STV execs must be blowng out their bagpipes to come away with "the greatest scottish....." as I say if this was ITV or BBC making something like this they would be getting their heads kicked in! and if this is the FUTURE of STV programming God forbid us what they have around the corner

It is a rumoured magazine show in the style of the One Show but with Mick McManus and sidekick presenting.
![]() anyone want to fire a missile at the programme before it airs!![]() The Hour was just utter crap and when this airs it will be the end of STV and renaming it "stv @ 7" sounds like sky would say for news! why not call it "the michelle mcmanus & (sidekick name) show" - guess STV have not learnt the lesson - why cant STV do more "creativity" on the channel this is just laziness that is STV - stuck on pause and cant think of anything new and original (who is wanting to bet this show will end up being MORE about the PRESENTERS than the GUESTS again )plus "the hour" was tried and tested and to compete against "the one show" i would rather go watch bbc one if not watch "the simpsons" on sky1! - this programme aint encouraging me to watch it - its makes me avoid the channel a hell alot more! lol |

I have just look on their website and there is no mention of the News moving to 7pm, where did you get this information from?
EDIT: It comes across also that what was suggested that STV were giving up the time at 6 (which I was suggesting not FACT) |

![]() STV have not realised that there is a way for PC users to avoid their dross.....I mean shows.....and catch up on 'The Missing'. If you tip them off they will prevent access to the ITV1 sight and replace it with a picture of Michelle eating cheesecake. |

The Hour/5:30 Show could make sense early, but I can't see it competing with established primetime shows, unless it's substantially different (and much less obviously aimed at housewives). |

Or why not scotlands greatest murderers! - or scotlands greatest dramas

They have already done that. It was a cheapo series of reconstructions of murderers. Dennis Nielsen, Peter Tobin, Robert Mone & Peter Manuel etc.
It was made for BBC Alba & shown this year as an Stv opt-out at 9pm and was called "Scottish Killers", I think? ) --- they should go with a rename with the programme "in search of bobby hain and his stv crusade which is... "regarding being a cheap series - it was shown on BBC Alba first (let me guess STV managed to put their name in somewhere) so I guess these programmes coming soon to STV will be opt-outs of what MAY be ITV1 are showing why not STV do a another reshowing of "taggart" also thrown in for autumn/winter - you are good at that .... not! |
