Hi, I’ve got an iPhone 4, running IOS 4.3.4, and of the apps I’ve got on my iPhone requires IOS3.0 or later etc. what happens to the apps I’ve already got on iPhone when IOS 5.0 comes out ? i mean, will they still work on IOS 5, or will each app already have an update released so they can work on IOS5.

Thanks in advance
Roush

iOS 5 will be backwards compatible. Developers will need to make new versions of their apps to utilise new functionality in iOS 5 but existing versions of apps will still work as they currently do.

Apps designed for iOS 5 will not work on earlier versions of iOS though.

Some current apps do have issues in iOS5 however the whole point of the developers getting the beta versions is so they can make their apps compatible with the new OS

Most apps should remain compatible with older versions of iOS

I'll be getting IOS5 for my iPad obviously, but, I'm glad I haven't waited around for it regarding my phone.
I jumped from iPhone to Samsung Galaxy S2 and already have everything that IOS5 is bringing to the table. So I see the iPhone as just catching up.
No doubt it will execute it all with the clean efficiency that it always has had. However, nice to see I won't really be missing anything. That said, it could make the iPhone 6 the phone I look at first when I get bored with my current phone, I don't have an IOS loyalty issue.
The iPhone 5 meanwhile holds no such desire and now it won't have any envy factor either.
