Im confused as they were all together for an interview on tv this week and someone asked if they knew the winner but I was not paying much attention to what they said

I believe in past years the Final was filmed 6 months before transmission, but You're Hired was nearly live, i.e. transmitted maybe a half-hour after filming in front of a live (and dangerously uncontrollable) audience.

The Final boardroom shot 2 different endings, firing both candidates in turn, so that nobody would know LS's true decision. He had both finalists working for him, and only decided which to hire in the last few days before You're Hired programme.

This year there was no need to have both working 6 months inside Sugar Towers as a double-blind.

ah cool, that would explain why no one knows the winner yet then!!!

The winner is now known - but obviously will be confirmed in 10 mins! I can feel some back pain coming on from looking at the telly and my laptop - so better get back to watching.

No, it was filmed months ago, the top two candidates were each made to film a You're Hired scene. Sir Alan chose who would win before You're Fired was filmed on Wednesday.

Nothing new, we always knew it was gonna be Helen & Tom to be the final 2. I think alan knew that since last week.

This was filmed months ago - all that was decided in the last few days by LS was was who won and therefore which clip to show (Tom or Helen being hired). If it was filmed in the last few weeks why were they leaving the house at 7am with it almost being dark and wearing coats when its June/July and getting light at 4am? Sorry - it was all filmed before Xmas.
