I watched this and thought it was entertaining but shouldn't even be compared to TA UK.

From this task, it seems like it's just a competition of who has the richer friends. Also, the task was far too simple (crowd around a market stall and sell hotdogs... wow, very challenging).

Omarosa is funny though. I howled laughing at this:

Woman: "We need a team name that reflects strong women. What's another word for strong woman?"
Omarosa: "I'll tell you a word for strong woman - OMAROSA!"

Well to be fair it is part of the Apprentice franchise - but is the equivalent of our Comic Relief does the Apprentice turned into a full series (where our celebs call up their rich mates and beg for megabucks for charity). Give it time though - its show 1 so a lot of time was spent on intros rather than the task.

The Americans had got bored of the main franchise back in 2008 but this celeb version got much higher ratings. They even brought the proper show back last year.

As for Omarosa she is one of a kind - but I can never truly tell if she is for real or its all just a big act. No one does nasty quite like it!

Also loved her comment 13 mins in 'I'm glad you are picking up what I'm putting down' when the others backed down and went with her plan. Classic!

Anyone else think Kely’s face looks like a Halloween mask? Why do women do that to themselves?

If the Piers/Omarosa conflict wasn’t so transparently contrived (like most everything else in the show!) it would be more entertaining than it actually is.

Do you think Trump and Gene Simmons get together, look at each other and go “Man, WTF happened to our hair?”.

I think after Gene's refusal to bring in Trump's targets has given us a contender to Bradford giving up immunity as the stupidest move ever made on the Apprentice

Eugh I hate the boys won again. I know that they got the basic idea better then the girls but their van was terrible compared to the girls.

This series is much better than I’d been led to believe and astonishingly I don’t think the outcomes of the task are fixed in advance otherwise there’s no way they’d have the men winning four times in a row. Even if the show were terrible I wouldn’t mind as long as there were plenty of shots of Ivanka.

Its barely started - wait till Omarosa starts telling Piers his wife and kids secretly hate him - which all ends up with Piers kissing one of the other male celebs.

I only caught this last night. Why do Piers and Stephen Baldwin hate each other?

can we please do without the spoilers (assuming what you said is true). Im actually enjoying watching this even though I know who wins.

Just found it on BBC 1....and only one I know is Piers, the plotter! Great idea recycling shoes.

You could use that polished floor for 10 Pin Bowling, or Marbles.

This version of the Apprentice wouldn't work in the UK, but do like the US version so far, as it's funny.

It's all a bit silly and childish.

The main problem it has is one that all American reality shows have, not enough reality, the whole "some scenes have been created for entertainment purposes" thing.

She was in Taxi with Danny DeVito and Christopher Lloyd.

It may be unethical, but it makes hilarious TV. I love Piers' attitude, no morals but still television gold. Also loved Ivanka's take on it!!

Yeah, so hub said, as he remembered that TV series. Long time ago now since I saw it. Only name I do remember is Danny DeVito as you couldn't forget him, and have him in a few movies.
