I have an account with Lovefilm and at present I receive my Bluray discs by post. I now have a Sony Bluray player which is networked and internet enabled. I can therefore have my films streamed by Lovefilm but they cannot output in DTS or Dolby Digital.
Anybody else in this situation and if so what is the sound quality like?

From the Lovefilm website they recommend a connection speed of at least 2Mb/s this will give low quality viewing (not up to DVD standard). If you are used to Blu-ray then you are likely to be very disappointed with the picture quality let alone the sound.

Count yourself lucky. At least it works. On my Samsung Smart TV it never gets past the opening credits before it crashes. Lovefilm and Samsung have told me it is a hardware fault that affects newer models of Samsung TVs and they don't when it will be fixed.
On the issue of Dolby Digital 5.1 i don't think anyone does Dolby Digital 5.1 via the internet. Even the BBC iplayer which streams some HD content only does Dolby Digital 2.0.

Lovefilm still have a lot of kinks to iron out of their streaming service. I get a much higher quality picture streaming to my Bravia TV than through my PS3. Both are cabled to my router. Go figure.

I don't know about premium titles as I haven't paid to rent any but 5.1 sound is certainly not available on the standard streaming service.
