Lovefilm
I have an account with Lovefilm and at present I receive my Bluray discs by post. I now have a Sony Bluray player which is networked and internet enabled. I can therefore have my films streamed by Lovefilm but they cannot output in DTS or Dolby Digital.
Anybody else in this situation and if so what is the sound quality like? |

From the Lovefilm website they recommend a connection speed of at least 2Mb/s this will give low quality viewing (not up to DVD standard). If you are used to Blu-ray then you are likely to be very disappointed with the picture quality let alone the sound.

Lovefilm still have a lot of kinks to iron out of their streaming service. I get a much higher quality picture streaming to my Bravia TV than through my PS3. Both are cabled to my router. Go figure.
I don't know about premium titles as I haven't paid to rent any but 5.1 sound is certainly not available on the standard streaming service. |
