NoW whistle-blower found dead in Watford
Sean Hoare who blew the whistle on phone hacking under Andrew Coulson has been found dead.
Police say that its not "Suspicious" Am I the only one here who is thinking how extremely convenient this is? Not suspicious? they're pulling the wool over our eyes surely? |

Being very far from "Not suspicious" was my first though. Just like the time when the prostitute about to feature in a Jeffrey Archer trial "Just happened" to die when her car ran off the road in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night.

Its scarey how people connected to a Prime Minister or indeed a Minister just happen to "die" at the most convenient of times.
State Agency execution? |

Hmm, last week he tells the Guardian and the New York Times that the News of the World were actually using police technology to track people using their mobile phones in exchange for payments to police officers, this week he conveniently dies. Nothing suspicious there.

Not suspicious? Who the hell do they think they're kidding? It's so insulting for them to wheel that line out.

The guy was obviously offed or took his own life due to threats. Just like Dr. David Kelly.

I don't know if it is pertinent but Sean Hoare was known to have drug and alcohol problems. I think they led to his dismissal from NoW.
A very sad development. |

They shouldn't rush to the public with "it's not suspicious" straight away. Or at least comment that "we don't believe it's suspicious at this point but an investigation is ongoing." Not that this would or should quell the questions. But at least don't be prematurely attempting to project an aura of certainty about the matter so soon. That's just begging for more controversy.

It probably is pertinent. He was apparently in very poor health. I would say there is absolutely no possibility of foul play, not linked to the NI scandal anyway.

A couple of journalists who spoke to him this week said he was "ailing" but wanted the truth out.

The man was a drug addict and a drunk, who was sacked by the news of the world for being a drug addict and a drunk.
Despite all of your paranoid theories that he COULD have been silenced it is clear that one of two things has happened. Either he has succumbed to this various addictions, overdosing or some such thing, or he has taken his own life. It can not be ignored that he has made some substantial claims to both the Guardian and New York Times, and time was coming where he would have to prove those claims. Maybe he couldn't back up those claims because rather than them being true they were just fabrications aimed at News international by a very angry and bitter man who resented been sacked for very good cause. Truth is we May never know. |
