The best Take That songs are

The ones with Gary Barlow on lead. Not being funny the ones with Mark Owen on lead are crap and since Robbie has come back their songs have been dire!

Shine & Up All Night are two of my favorites and Mark Owen leads em both. Obviously Gary technically has the best voice but not always best suited to all songs.
And yes their songs with Robbie are nothing compared to songs from the Beautiful World & Circus.

i think from the first time around i would go for `pray` and `back for good`. from the reunion i think the best song is `patience`.

The best Take That songs, for me are;

Rule The World
Pray
I'd Wait For Life
Patience
Why Can't I Wake Up With You for the harmonies
Never Forget for the legacy

From the albums;

I Can Make It (should have been a single) as it is very well written
Another Crack In My Heart
The Day After Tomorrow
Wooden Boat

With the exception of the chorus of Happy Now, their new stuff with Robbie isn't going to be their most remembered work.
Robbie is -or was- a great vocalist, however Gary will always be known as the voice of Take That. Shame as Howard actually does have great tone and range. Jason has a lovely voice, albeit that its not particularly strong. I like Marks voice, but in my opinion it sounds better on softer songs like Babe, and when he sung it on this tour it reminded me of the difference and how I prefer it.

My favourite from 'back in the day' is A Million Love Songs.

I agree that the Progress album was very different from Circus and Beautiful World - maybe more experimental and a bit too Robbie at times but, The Flood, Kidz and Eight Letters stand out and are as good as anything else they've ever released or recorded. On that note, The Flood, Patience, Said it All and most of all, Shine are my favourites from this time around.

There is an awful lot of Robbie - bashing going on lately. Whilst I agree that the four of them were fine as they were, there are a vast number of very loyal Robbie fans and old school Thatters that were beside themselves to have him back I didn't know I was until seeing them this time around live!

Special mention to Wooden Boat for the sheer Jason-ness of it and how lovely it is live!

For me i think never forget is far more of a signature tune for them than back for good.
