What i really hope is that we'll see the last of River soon. I don't want her as a companion. But change is what Doctor Who is all about. Better to leave when people want you to stay then the other way around.

Oh definitely, they can axe her off any time they like.
Exactly, that's what Tennant said when he left, better to leave on a high.

Twas pretty good. I wasn't expecting him to be that hopeless though...he was constantly being beaten up. Id probably give it a 7/10.

You have to see the others to see why they did that. Its actually really smart. Glad you liked it.

Well I've seen the second one too, and I have to say that the first was better. They're enjoyable films though.

Yeah Scream 4 is great I didn't guess the first time either. Love the line from Sidney at the hospital: You forgot the first rule of remakes, Jill. Don't **** with the original! !!

Twas a very good film, but not quite as good as the first.
Downey and Laws are a great duo and the slow motion action scenes are incredible. 9/10

So Dan is going. I wonder what the future holds.

Will the mambo mafia survive as a coherent force?

I imagine Danielle will be doing something else, so the mafia will have new tthings to go and see, and can find roles for her. Apart from doing this job well, she's got one of the top agents. Its no coincidence that, unless they have changed recently, Danielle, Rachel Tucker and Katie Hall all have the same agents.

She's going after 5 th Feb for anyone dropping by who hasn't read twitter or the rumourmill.

Rumour has the show going to November or next Feb but thats more rumour. Next Feb would give someone else a year in role.

Sophie has said nothing on her twitter. If they want to keep the OTR link and no one leaves drama school, the only other dots free are Jenny, as WWRY has ended, Steph and Dani, where I don't know what they are doing -and all of them have just finished shows last week so Feb 5 would be very close?

Bit odd as its so close, and no successor announced. Has she got another role to go to - if not why go?

I am not sure what to think.

Is this a bad sign for Dan? Has she lost the confidence of the good lord?

He's reportedly working on his next show for TV - Jesus Christ Superstar - but there's no info when that will air or start on stage. He will be needing female leads for that - possibly before some other contenders from the tv shows finish drama schools?

A year is a normal West End contract for a lead and Michael is going on the same day too. Another year also may mean you are tied from doing anything new for a year or at least 6 months if you do a second year. Connie did 15 months and Jodie did 14 1/2 and even Sheridan Smith only did Legally for 13 months after previews ended. A few people are kept on for second or third years - Rachel is going for 2 years and 7 months as Elphaba if her voice holds. It can mean very good news - Siobhan Dillon stayed a year as Vivienne in Legally - but she''s got the lead in Ghost starting 3 months later. There's quite a lot of new shows coming in - Bridget Jones is workshopping now and Spice Girls may not be her thing, but there's several shows coming over from America and some more traditional musicals also starting this year and there's also the possibility she might go for an acting role?

Thanks for the background info. You are a mine of information!

Anyone else joining in this discussion? It is not as though we have nothing to talk about...

In all honesty, I'm glad she's moving on from Oz. The shows reliability hasn't been great thanks to it's complexity. Also, she can't stay in Oz because then she'll get type cast to that role, and at her young age, it's not something you really want.

I've no doubt that she'll move onto something else and we'll all be just as proud as the day she started her journey.

Yes, I am sure that is the best way to look at it.

I hope this news provokes a bit of discussion. This is Dan's thread, and although we had to go off topic to survive, we should be on topic at times like these.

This is a watershed!
