What is a decent and flexible SCART lead?

What is it with SCART leads - cheap, non full-wired types are easy to fit and route but are rubbish quality and the 'top grade' ones are so stiff that they are very hard to route and pull out due to the lack of flexibility. They also have massive plugs on the end that jam against other leads.

I would really appreciate any input on a decent quality lead that is easy to bend and without massive plugs.

Basically any scart leads that has individual screening for the data connections should be OK. The problem with cheap leads is the connections are bundled within a common screen so you get crosstalk. The type with inline plugs and a flat cable are easier to handle. Apart from very long leads there's no need to spend a fortune.

This might be worth a punt

Cheers Graham - looks 'cheap and cheerful' but fully wired and screened so should be up to the task. I will give on a go.

Are you just venting, or are you looking for something that works?

If the latter, then I bought a batch of locking SCART cables for exactly that reason. I can let you have one at trade (£3.05) + postage.

Cheers Chris - yes I am looking to buy some as due to our cat 'exploring' behind the TV the leads pull out and I have had failed recordings. Can you PM with details (length and cable type)?

Thanks, Ian
