Four more labels have appeared on 11052 H (20700, 20711, 20715 and 20780). Not enough to be a TP move for all of 12402 V where there are six ITV1s plus an interactive ITV stream.

could it be the sd ITV channels on 10832.00 H moving? it doesnt make sense for ITV1 HD on there to share with SD channels, especially with Gremlins channel also being some type of "HD". so a move to dvb-s2 would work out.

This would create room for more/missing ITV1 HD regions, or ITV2-4 HD

ITV2-4HD don't need to be on a narrow beam. ITV1 HD regions likely.

These are just left over labels from the transponder changes yesterday, they'll most likely be removed in the coming days.

Why would ITV give up additional income (the reason they are pay in the first place) especially in times when advertising income is falling?

What is there to gain?

3 ITV1 micro regions are closing 1/1/12 so there is no need to transfer them; just switch them off and repoint the EPGs to the old region postcodes.

Still labelled 7720 though.

What is the resolution used, looks blocky in places.

It makes no sense to put several ITV1 HD regions on one transponder when it comes to stat muxing, they already have 2 sharing one tx and that causes problems during football, I end up watching on freeview.

At the moment I doubt they would as they've only just overcome their alleged financial difficulties.

However, with Freesat's continued growth its bound to become an ever more attractive proposition to advertisers and thus in the longer term I think there is some hope that ITV might decide to go FTA with these as well.

Lets not forget also, there's a high proportion of ex Sky customers allegedly on Freesat and these were the very demographic ITV was hoping to offer to its advertisers when it joined Sky.

Stat muxing would only apply if itv 2-4 HD would move, Most ITV1 HD are cbr @ 10mb/s, means a dvb-s2 transponder either using the same settings as BBC HD on 2D or Channel 4 HD on 1N could carry 4 HD channels .

Sig Intensity: 90%
Quality 77%

The Wright Stuff looks ok, but there is slight blockiness in the commericals...

Sounds like your dish may need a tiny bit of tweeking - you should be getting 100/100 (or very close to it with the power of 1N).

So 5+1 is on Sky 177 and 5*+1 that used to be there is all alone right up on 236. - looks messy and a complete bodge.

5*+1 is even on a line on its own between the basic pack and the knowledge pack.

I hope Freesat make a better job of it than sky have. - Of course in DVBViewer I can put it wherever I want it.

But SD viewers are already watching the same adverts.

Quote:

I must get Freesat to clarify their recent press release.

Quote:
“47% of Freesat customers switched from Sky in 2011 to date”

Quote:
“According to Freesat customer research, a record 47% of its customers have come from Sky
households so far in 2011”

Both statements in the same press release. Which one is correct?
