Playing music/photos from USB
I have an attached USB 500gb disk on a Humax Foxsat HDR.
I can copy video from the main HDD to the USB HDD and copy music/photos from the USB HDD to tha main HDD but I cannot play/view the music/photos from the USB HD. When I try I can display the music folders but when I click on one it does not show the tracks and will not play. The files are in a FAT32 partition on the USB HDD. Is this normal or am I missing a trick? |

When on the usb drive the colour keys switch the file type that is displayed exactly like looking at the internal hdd.
Red - Video Yellow - Music Blue - Photo |

I went to Media, selected USB and it displays the folders in the music section. If I select a particular folder there appears to to be nothing in it. If I then press yellow for music it just reverts back to the music files on the main hard disk.
I know the files are there because I have located them and copied them to the hard disk and played them from there - it's just that I can't play them from the USB. |

Pictures need to be jpg's and the HDR is fussy about some. I needed to put some through an editor and save (no changes) some to get the HDR to display them. |

Insert USB, press media, press Yellow, press yellow again, select usb device, OK to open, move to Music folder and OK to open. Press play.
I wondered why it would need two presses of the yellow but I see that when I do that the change device button also changes from red to yellow. Pity they didn't get you to write the user manual! |
