With parts of East Africa now officially in famine could there be another Band Aid this year and if so who would be in the line up out of todays popstars?

My line up would be as follows.

Based on the original song Paul Youngs solo bit would go to Gary Barlow.

Boy George bit - Mark Owen

George Michael bit - Adele

Simon La Bonn bit - Duffy

Then the whole of Take That plus the other two prevously mentioned carry on until the Bono bit which for me would go to Dan Gillespie Sells (The Feeling)

Then they all join in until a guitar solo from the the lead guitarist of The Feeling then they and many others take part in the final chorus.

What do others think?

I am not saying there will even be a Band Aid this year but it could happen.

Band Aid was rubbish anyway and if the line up you suggest is used then this one will be even worse.

The main question was could there be one and not if it was rubbish or not.

Just a reasonable question and it would be nice sometimes to ask one without having my throat jumped down at.

very much doubt it, but even if there was one i think the only way it would be even remotly sucsessful would be if cowell was behind it and it would then be slated for having him as part of it...

there also isnt anybody who would want to be involved in it, Adele is in america, Take that are touring, - ones that you mentioned.

I don't mind another Band Aid. Just as long as they don't sing that bloody song again.

They should do a new, original song.

Because of modern day satelite links and the fact that the original was recorded in 24 hours I'm not sure the fact that people are touring or in America really matters.

I can see this happening, however due to the law of diminishing returns I can see it being a total flop unless they do a new original song.

Not pointless at all as it is in a good cause.

Better To Give Money Not To Have Another Band Aid

I well remember the first one, I have to admit i find it very self indulgent, big stars saying look at me helping charity, then flying out the country in private chartered helicopters costing £1000's. It is great publicity for the acts as well, just look at what it did for U2, Queen, Status Quo.

Just ask them to give a load of money and forget the show. Donate say 10% of their next album sales, or say to Elton John rather than spend your yearly budget of £250 grand on flowers for your house, you donate that.
