Does Vodka Go Out Of Date?

I've just found an unopened bottle of Absolut Peach in my kitchen which I think I was given as a gift obviously a while ago as I don't remember it. Guessing it may be a couple of years old at least if not a bit more

Its still sealed and unopened and can't see any use by or best before dates on the bottle etc.

Do you think it will be OK after this time or is it destined for the bin?

Very dangerous to drink. But send it me and I will take the risk.

I don't think it can... try a bit, see how it tastes.

No, they can lose flavour a little bit, but other than that I don't think any spirits go out of date, apart from things with cream or eggs in them? e.g. Baileys, Advocaat, generally want to drink these within 6 months or so.

It'll be fine. A purist might detect some change in the flavour, but apart from that...

When I was a kid we had a bottle of advocaat that came out at Christmas. I was really the only one who liked it! It'd then go back till the next Christmas. It had been doing that for at least 4 or 5 years. It was fine.

I had a bottle of Irish Cream (cheap Bailey's substitute) in the fridge for over a year. Had a couple glasses one Christmas then it went back in the bottom of the fridge and just sat there until the next Christmas It was fine.

I once had a bottle of Aftershock in the back of the cupboard and it crystalised

No, but it does evaporate over time if it's not chilled.

Alcohol is a preservative, so it will be fine. As someone said the taste may have altered slightly through time.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. Will maybe brave it soon and let you know I get on with it.
