I went to Spur recently and had the bacon and cheese potato skins. The cheese was that very runny, very processed (but very yummy) bright yellow cheese. Does anyone know where I can buy a similar cheese? It almost tasted like a liquid slice of burger cheese, but a sort of sauce-consistency.

Can anyone help?!

I know it may sound disgusting that I want it, but I admit I have gross taste :P

Do you know what it was called/if it's still made? I think it was a cheese sauce, rather than just melted cheese because it was so runny.

My sister eats that on crackers, and it's a very pale, thick sort of consistancy. This cheese was bright yellow (sort of like the squeezy mustard you put on hot dogs) and very liquidy.

You can make your own cheese sauce. You could use the processed slices or "proper" cheese for more flavour.
The simplest way is to just gently melt the cheese in a pan. You can add milk to help it along.
A more involved method would be to made a roux and make a basic white sauce then add the cheese. Also nice to add garlic at this point

Most takeaways don't use regular cheese. They use something that has to be called cheese analogue and you can buy it at cash & carry such as makro.

This looks right Thanks so much!

I know that I can make a cheese sauce myself (I often do make it), but it's real cheese lol. Everynow and then, nothing beats a strange bright yellow "cheese product" sauce :P
