Gaga goes from one rock band to the other, very worrying that an artist I dont have anytime for appears to be latching onto some of my fav bands, springsteen and now IM.
![]() This bit of the article did make me laugh, day dreaming comes to mind "I didn't want people… 30 years from now coming to see my show to see if I've still got |

I think what she meant by the last part about people coming to see her in 30 years (providing she's around then) is this - Iron Maiden know they're past their heyday, but they will still play their new songs live because they have faith in the quality of their new material and that fans support them. In Flight 666, Bruce Dickinson described how Maiden weren't just "old fossils dragging around a bunch of old hits" like many acts past their prime but artists making new albums and playing their new material on tour just like any other artist young or old.
It's never a question of whether the band have 'still got it or not' but that they always have it and will always put on a great show playing their arses off just like they would in the 80's, and are still as popular and relevant to their fans now as they were back then, as well as attracting new ones (myself included, I've only been listening to them for about 3 years, and I consider myself a huge Maiden fan and will be seeing them live for the first time next month). I think that's what Lady GaGa understands about Iron Maiden and what she aspires to be like. Certainly not every act, in fact very few, pull such consistency off like Iron Maiden do, |
