How long ago did they change it? I only buy it when I go to London.

About a month ago now.

M&S sushi was always the best, because it was nearly authentic, and pretty healthy. I've actually emailed M&S and asked if they have any plans to bring back the old style sushi, and the response was "no", as the new recipe is proving to be a big hit with the public.

Thank you. March 28th was the last time I was in London.

I do wish they would stop messing about with things I like.

I don't like their new 'chav' friendly sushi

I didn't. I was in the pub and my boss' dad decided to hand it out to people. Don't ask me why, he was pissed.

Not really a great example of sushi then is it? It's like dismissing curry after eating a Wetherspoons special.

I like sushi and even though it is quite expensive, its really filling. Theres also hot rice dishes and tempura which is just battered veg / prawns etc.

I've had the supermarket rubbish which is ok for a snack, proper restaurant sushi with stuff like softshell crab and yo! sushi which is in between the two. At yo! sushi I find that £10-£15 worth is enough and you leave feeling like you have eaten a good meal, so its not bad value. You can also order any items freshly cooked, you don't need to take it off the conveyor belt.

All in all I love sushi and its damn healthy too!

I love sushi, I sometimes get a tray or two from Tesco's. Me and my sister went to a sushi restaurant in the Westfield centre a while back, where you sit and take the plates off the conveyor belt, it was wonderful but it cost us a fortune.

Does anybody know of any real good sushi places in London?

I've always wanted to go and try it.

Miyama is very good. Been around donkey's years but it's not cheap.

It's somewhere around greem park I think. Not been for a while now.

Good sushi will never be cheap. If it's cheap it's probably not very good.

For lunchtime sushi I tend to go to itsu, it's pretty good. They also do pretty decent sashimi, good value at around a tenner for a tray of salmon and tuna.

I think sushi may be my favourite food. But only from decent restaurants or proper Japanese takeaways. M&S / Tesco stuff is rubbish.

You very much get what you pay for with sushi / sashimi.

That's very true. I find YO! Sushi's sashimi and tuna sushi dishes quite meh TBH. Funnily enough, the best sushi I've ever had, was in Kazimierz, Krakow. Quite a while ago now.

I've only ever eaten my own homemade sushi and the homemade sushi from my Japanese friend.
