Am I alone in detecting a slight Jen (BB8) vibe from Porsche?

I think that's why I like her so much for some inexplicable reason. Am I alone in thinking this?

Something about her mannerisms and personality.

I didn't see BB8 so I don't know what Jen was like, but I do strangely like Porsche too. Something I can't put my finger on.

Slightly weird and clueless. Yet also strangely funny and charming. Kind of like Porsche.

I kind of see the similarity, but I'm having issues with Porsche. I want to like her, but there's just something about her that I find so frustrating, but at the same time, I just can't bring myself to dislike her either.

Porsche appears to be shallow and perhaps a little ditzy,

But in no way is she as vacuous or self obssessed as Jen. I haven't seen Porsche cheat yet either.

Yes. She should've been booted, not evicted.

If she got burned it's because she was waving her hand close to Dick's face, instead of walking away. Too bad.

Most of the 'cheating' in BB8 came from the producers, for the benefit of Erig and Dick.

The producers weren't to know who would benefit from America's participation in the game, when they inserted America's Player as a factor.

The viewers clearly favoured ED and decided to vote to help him.. They could have chosen anybody. Jen got mustard on her bed, courtesy of America and Dick was saved from the block by America. It was the voters choice, not the producers.

Why should Jen always be the one to do the right thing and walk away every time Dick treated her like shit? For me that was one of the most disgusting things I've seen on this show. Dick clearly was trying to burn her on purpose and should have been kicked out immediately.

It did not benefit Eric at all, he would have had a very good chance to win without AP. With it he had zero chance of winning.

The voters base their decision on what is shown in the highlights. The producers decide what goes into the highlight shows and it was massively pro Dick,

Well if they showed Dick saying he wanted to kill and rape people then he may not have been as well liked.

And the influencing went way beyond Eric. The DR did some major influencing in that season, it goes on every season, but BB8 was on another level.

I'm not saying the America's Player twist was a fix. I was referring to how they'd tell the houseguests which way to vote in the Diary Room, through manipulating or pressuring them - they can't force the houseguests to do anything, but the producers shouldn't interfere in the gameplay like that at all.

Erig would've been evicted instead of Kail, and Dick would've been evicted instead of Dustin, without the DR manipulation. But the producers stepped in on those occasions because they didn't want the America's Player twist to end so soon, and they knew Dick got people talking about the show so they wanted him to last longer in the game as well.

They edited it to make it look like Erig was a genius gameplayer (I think they even compared him to Dr Will *vomits*) who could sway most of the votes the way America wanted him to, but in reality the DR had to sway the votes for him because he sucked at the game.

I guess the good thing about BB8 is that these days houseguests (and viewers) tend to be more wary of the manipulation and it doesn't have quite as big an impact on the game as it did in that season.

Because walking away from somebody who is "treating you like shit" is not only the right thing to do, but also the sensible thing to do. That is unless you possess the wit or the physical power to follow through with any escalation. Jen lacked both.

I'm sure ED would have welcomed it though.

Just to emphasise this point: America instructed America's Player to vote out Dustin. Not the producers.

Wasn't there some story about Eric not being allowed to use the veto when he won it as America didn't vote on it?

How did the producers that season help Eric? AP took away any chance he had of winning the show.

Jen did just walk away or ignore him so many times though, I honestly can't believe how well she delt with his antics for the first 6 or so weeks. Everyone will snap eventually.

You make it sound like you don't blame Dick at all for that fight?

Woah! Not having my thread turn into a Jen bashing thread! Jen was a BB legend so the Porsche comparison was intended to be a flattering one. She always handled herself with a lot of dignity over the whole Dick thing.

Hoping to see Jen back again for Allstars 2.5. Maybe Jen and Porsche together in the same house? Think they would be friends.

That was Dick's game plan. Psychological warfare. So, since it clearly succeeded, why should I blame him, if BB didn't?
