I think its about time we show our appreciation for the most successful European girlband of the last decade!

This is your chance to talk about the Sugababes!

Your favourite songs, albums, performances, favourite members past and present!

Lets kick things off with the preview of their banger of a new single Freedom!

I really cannot wait for freedom, for me, based on the preview, it could be the best single of the year.

Yeah, I love that song, I remember in 2007 I went to them live, and the opening music came on to this and the crowd went absolutely nuts!

I have been a Sugababes fan for 11 years now, none of the line up changes affected me as they seem to affect so many others.

Heidi is probaly the Sugababes integral member anyway as she has been part of 6 studio albums and all their mainstream success so imo as long as she is present they will always have credibility.

I LOVE Heidi and I always thought that her image and her vibe were the key elements of Sugababes' success.I hope she will AFTER ALL become the 'leader' of the group right now.And indeed if Heidi is out (I don't see it happening), I will need them to change the name if they want to keep going

I agree, as long as the music is good (which it has been for every album).. there was certainly no need for the massive backlash against them at the time..

Heidi is as much a Sugababe as Keisha, Mutya and Siobhan. A member for longer than Mutya and Siobhan, released more material, successful or not, than Mutya and Siobhan and let's be honest, if all the people that came out in support of Sugababes 1.0 during Keisha's departure actually went out and got their first album, it would have performed a hell of a lot better than it did...

Whilst Heidi is in Sugababes, they remain with credibility..

I can't wait for Freedom and album #8.. I had hoped they would go down the route of their Florence and The Machine cover but the Freedom preview sounds amazing..

Europe's most successful girl group of the past decade need to take their crown back with their new album..

IN THEIR CASE, I agree, because I never really liked Keisha and I thought that she destroyed a bunch of gems in 'Taller In More Ways' with her non-stop adlibing (Follow Me Home).
However, in general, it's not ALL about music. An act's vibe, personallity and image also counts and a big part of fans couldn't adjust to a new Sugababes profile for the 4th time.I had no problem (because the 3rd line up was a disaster imo) but I can understand why some were turned off

Yeah I love that song, it was part of Overloaded: The Singles Collection. I got that CD from my friend that year. Was Easy actually released as a single? Another question about Overloaded - I noticed Good To Be Gone is on it and I don't think that was a single. Was it just an album track or was it released specially for that collection?

Easy was a single got top 10

Good to be Gone was a song recorded for the greatest hits but wasn't a single

Thanks I liked Good To Be Gone but I always had been wondering if it had been released or not.

Good To Be Gone was meant to be the second single from the greatest hits, but it was cancelled when Walk This Way came along. I never really liked the song anyway, so I wasn't too fussed. I think Easy is much better.

One Touch, Three and Taller In More Ways are by far my favourite Sugababes albums. Lots of wonderful, distinctive, melodic songs with a unique sound and style to them. Angels With Dirty Faces has some brilliant songs on it but, for me, a lot of filler too - lots of songs I skip past when I play that album now. Change isn't a bad album although, like with AWDF, I find myself skipping through several songs. As for Catfights and Sweet 7 I just don't play them as I can't take to them. I find the music incredibly bland and formulaic, with none of the uniqueness that made the group so brilliant in the past. And I'm not just referring to the line up changes - it's the music! For me the songs on Sweet 7 sound like countless other acts could have released them, no originality in sight.

I'm curious to hear what the new album is like but am not too optimistic it'll be to my taste going by the new single which, once again, sounds so formulaic and like a million other groups to me! Sighhh.

My favorite Sugababes albums are AWDF and Three (which I slightly prefer).I haven't even heard 'Change' and 'Catfights and Spotlights' and I'm not going to.The group's lineup and image was a mess and the singles were below average, so they didn't even make me want to listen to snippets (I liked 'Girls' though)

I always think that too. I don't really remember much of what they sounded like before she joined the group. Overload and some of the early singles were ok but IMO the group were much better when Heidi joined.

Anyone ever spoken to any of the babes? Jade once replied to me after I suggested what she get her dad on fathers day! and just a couple of days ago Amelle retweeted something id written about the preview for freedom.

I understand why some of the fans turned off, I knew there would be some backlash when Keisha went because she was the last original member but I feel the way the ex-fans were towards Heidi, Amelle and Jade was just pathetic.. Pretty much every review of 'Sweet 7' focused on the line-up change rather than the music which it should have done..

Keisha is a talented person, there is no doubt, but I would prefer to have Heidi in the group than her.. 3.0 made some decent music but they weren't what they were, the music just wasn't edgy enough..

I think 4.0 can come back with a hit album and singles and continue for a good few years..
