I can't contain it anymore, I fell it's time to start the Poppy Meadow (Rachel Bright) Appreciation Thread!

I really love this character, she seems such a nice down to earth girl, yes a bit dim at times, but a really good heart.

I also think that Rachel is very pretty, and I hope we get to see more of Poppy as the weeks go on.

Love the comedy scenes, but would also like to see her do something a bit more dramatic too... Do you know what I mean?

I like her too, it will be good to see more scenes with her and Jodie. The character has a freshness and an innocence about her which I really like, as it's rare. Even for characters that are younger that Poppy.

I think her and Jodie are hilarious together, and I hope they keep them at just that. It's once to have characters that are just there for a bit of a laugh and not to get all maudlin and dramatic - I hope we see more of them, but nothing nasty please!x

From past EE experiance, I think Popppy will get a dark storyline soon enough.

It's the way of the world, but a good challange for the actress, and I'd like to see it play out on screen.

I love it when Poppy features in an episode -shes rapidly becoming one of my favourite characters.

She has great potential comically but I would like to see her developed beyond this to ensure the characters longevity.

She was great in last nights episode and is obviously smitten by Tyler.

Long may Poppy reign!!

So glad Eastenders saw her potential and brought her back! Fingers crossed it was for more than to sit in the background this time.

Have they got any plans for her whatsoever? If shes been brought back for Anthony then surely they'd better share some scenes together soon, and if not when will she get to be more than a bit part character?

Calling all Poppy fans, Rachel Bright has recorded a behind the scenes video "On Set", which can be seen here:

I'm guessing it was filmed pretty recently, perhaps she's going to be staying longer afterall? Fingers crossed...

I hope she hasn't been brought back just to be drippy Alices mate. Poppy's got so much more potential than just being someones ditzy sidekick. Plus i'm gutted she wasn't brought back for Anthony, i thought they had brilliant potential as a couple as well! Less Alice, more Poppy please!!!

So glad to hear that she's staying, and is even getting some kind of storyline!

Its time to bump this thread. Poppy Meadow is my favourite character ever and Rachel Bright is both beautiful and a very talented actress .
I have watched a lot of other stuff of hers on Youtube and was well impressed.
Fatboy is a jammy swine !
Kind hearted, a great friend, hardworking , good natured sense of humour and incredibly good looking .
is there anything at all wrong with this girl ? I think NOT

Poppy and Fatboy had potential if it had been done in a way where Poppy loved Fatboy but he was not interested so you yearn for them to get together. Unfortunately, they rushed them together.

Now they are together, I hope they don't have silly affairs because it would be out of character for them.

I'd much rather have Poppy and Fatboy given more screen time than have to put up with Lauren and Joey much longer. Seems odd that they've got two young popular characters and actors (Ricky and Rachel) on the show yet seem to have absolutely no plans for either of them whatsoever.

I think we are going to see a lot more of the delightful Poppy as the year goes on . We have scenes with Dot upcoming , who takes on a sort of mother figure role over the Fatboy/Poppy relationship

Heads up Poppy fans ! She is escorting Dot next week on a trip to the council for a meeting about non-payments and sub-letting.
Moral support for an OAP, just days after offering to sort an Apprenticeship out for Lola .

Another string to the bow of the amazing Poppy Meadow

I liked this character and the good nature she has which is sometimes lacking on the show. Too bad she is leaving.
