He was. Was so glad to see him finally get a shafting of his own.....so to speak.

All I can say is that last night's episode spread cheeks and rammed c0ck in fcuking ass!!

I couldn't drop off to sleep for 2 hours last night, I was so wired after watching it!

My only concern is that I don't see how it can possibly keep up that level of excitement over the remaining episodes. But then I thought that half way through the first series and was proved wrong there. I imagine that next week has to be slightly more subdued but that it will start to crank up again for the finale.

On the new Naevia I can see where people are coming from. I mean by most standards the new actress is a very attractive woman. Its just that the old Naevia was an absolute goddess!

BTW, how come most people on here seem to be able to watch it before Monday night on Sky?

I thought that Illithia would have to abort the baby but a potion is not gruesome enough for this series so it still lets in infanticide which has not been covered yet as is the Roman killing machines such as in Caligula. I thought the collapsing stadium , even though computor generated was extremely well done. I am now feeling sorry for Galba its like Colin Stape or Frank from Coronation St.

I'd always felt that Illithia would not end up aborting the baby because
Spoiler

I'm sure the scriptwriters have a lot more up their sleeve relating to the plotline of Illithia's pregnancy.

Apparently the drug Ilithyia was going to use was so popular with roman women that they actually made the plant is was extracted from extinct

Well I had to watch it this morning and it damn near killed me avoiding all the spoilers and build up.

But boy was it worth the wait. It had everything for me. A veritable televisual orgy if you will.

I had the multiple reactions of Gannicus' whore all the way through that episode.

Steven DeKnight you are a genius

Wow, great episode. It looked liked they blew most of this series budget on last night's episode.
Next week, sets made out of cornflakes packets and actors replaced by puppets (finger up puppet replaces cock in arse).

I'm not too keen on the new Spartacus, and he really needs to beef up a bit, he's the skinniest one there, but there are more than enough great characters and performances to compensate making Spartacus almost incidental and surplus to requirements for me.

What an episode!

I cant believe how good this show is, i watched the first series thinking this is going to be awful but was obviously hugely and pleasantly surprised, then when the prequel come on i thought no way can this live up to the 1st series and if anything i think i may have preferred it!

Now the 3rd series surely the quality will have dropped but no its been very strong up until last night then it just took off.

It is such a shame that Batiatus and Good Solonius couldn't be in it though as i found both characters brilliant.

But i think new Spartacus is fine, to be honest i think the other characters have always been more interesting that Spartacus anyway.

I keep reading comments about how Liam isn't beefy enough, but I don't remember Andy being particularly big either. They have a similar size build IMO. If anything Liam seems slightly bigger.

Andy

Liam

I don't have an issue with Liam but from those two pics you can clearly see that Andy has bigger pecs. However we don't know for how long each guy had been on the so called 'Spartacus Workout'.

It's certainly working for Liam anyway looking at a previous photo.. As he continues in the role, then he's sure to increase his size.

I could be wrong but I don't think there is any historical basis for the giant head mower. I think they just made it up.

I disagree, I thought he really came into his own in Monday's episode.

He may be a little short on muscle (compared to the others of course) but he plays a strong leader excellently. It's not hard to believe the rest of his men would gladly follow him to almost certain death as they did by attacking the arena.

My line of the show:

"..I would send message of our own."

I thought that a little odd too. But then thought, they are romans delighting in seeing gladiators fight & die. I suppose they could be seen as just as bad?
