I ate a 2 pound in weight special burger in New York. Took almost half an hour to munch my way through it.

A friend took us to Denny's Beer Barrel Pub quite some years back, and I attempted to finish the 6lb burger. Not my picture, but it's the same burger.

Notice how I said attempted. The bloody thing beat me. Good job I didn't go for the 54lber then.

The biggest thing I have eaten is clearly killer whale meat when visiting Iceland last summer. I have heard blue whale and humpback whale meat is good - but I still prefer to just do whale watching tours e.g. http://www.thewhalewatching.com/

Had a bit of a big plate of food and it took quite awhile to finish.

I've eaten a 16oz steak along with chips and salad.

I could probably eat a 25oz steak, maybe even 30oz.

Quite a bit actually, about three-quarters of it over about an hour. The scary thing is, that's one of the smaller ones they do and there are people who've finished off the 15lb burger.

The most i've ever eaten in a sitting is probably when at a Chinese buffet. I think a full English would come close.

Probably at an all you can eat buffet in Portugal, it was Brekkie. Must have had about 8 eggs, bacon, sausages etc and about 6 pints of orange juice

1/2 dozen wings for starters, 32oz steak (post cooking) with mash, veggis, dozen shrimp and lemon cheesecake for desert, but it probably had 4 or 5oz of bone in the steak

I did have 3 x 1/2lb burgers and a 12" hotdog at company BBQ last week.
