Funny how a lot of these are in America....mine too! 
Not being much of a breakfast person I made the mistake of ordering blueberry pankcakes with maple syrup on holiday once in Florida. What arrived at my table was a small mountain of the things, maybe about a dozen.
I couldn't even manage a whole one.
And the waitress almost went into shock at my supposed sparrow-like appetite.
