How would you rate this year's Apprentice with last year's?

Hi all

I just couldn't get into it this year. Granted, I watched certain episodes but then for some reason, got bored really quickly. This never happened with last year's, or the one before. I remember I couldn't wait for the episodes; in fact, I taped them so I could watch them over and over again

But this year's, it was anything but entertaining.

What happened? (if you're in the same boat).

I never watched last year's, I think I watched the first episode or two but couldn't get into it. Watched 2009's though. Both very good in their own respects, although I'd put 2011 higher because the person I actually wanted to win won.

to be honest preferred this year - bit against the grain I think?

This years. Jim was one of the most delusional contestants ever.

Preferred last years - this year it seemed to take ages to get into its stride. There were too many 'invisible' candidates early on this year(being left out of the edit rather than hiding I should add).
Sorry to say I'm not too happy about the winner either - Stella had a strong performance all the way through; Tom, to my mind, was quite weak and I have a distinct worry that Lord Sid had simply wanted his inventions from the start regardless of ability within the process.
Still I did find it entertaining - just hope next year the elimination process relates more to the end result than this year did

Oh - and no comedy wide boy this year! I missed StuBaggs

Really?
More than Mellissa Cohen, Ben Clarke, Noorul Choudray and Micheal Sophacles?

This year's series boiled my blood much less than last year's series did, which is a very good thing.

Melody and Vincent with occasional touches of Edna and Jim
vs
Melissa (ugh!), Dan, Stuart, Chris Farrell and Alex the Eager Beaver

I lamented the lack of "characters" in this year's show but as time went on the characters emerged. It was bound to be different because Ld Alan wasn't looking for someone to work for him, but with him. I enjoyed the series.

I enjoyed this series more, mainly due to not having Stuart Baggs shoved down our throats - sorry couldn`t stand him

I much preferred this series. I didn't have anyone to root for last series, and was actually disappointed Stella won, but this year, I genuinely liked both Tom and Susan and was rooting for both.

I really enjoyed this season- both the candidates and the format. This year along with season 4 are my favorites, although I liked last year as well, season 6. I was never able to get into Season 5. Same sentiments about seasons 1-3, granted I didn't watch the first 3 live (in the same year) so to speak.

I guess casting the right mix of candidates is essential. On that note I thought Apprentice Au did a great job regarding casting last year (season 1) & enjoyed that season as well. But from what I can tell it doesn't seem to have been renewed for a 2nd Season.

I thought Apprentice You're fired was great this year. The contestants seem to all have pretty good personalities "in real life." Many were different than they came across on the show. Also I really like several of their guest panelist.

Apprentice UK has become to be my favorite tv show. Lord Sugar, Karen and Nick make a good balance. I live in the US so maybe its partly because the slight cultural difference gives the contestants even more of a character role? On top of enjoying the show in general- Every episode I have a few lol moments, which I consider to be fairly rare for me regarding tv.

Suprisingly I do not like the US apprentice. I did at first, but the show has gone down hill fast for me. I do not like the celebrity apprentice focus (which I don't even watch anymore) and Trump has become more of a joke than a solid bussiness icon. Apprentice US should have Trump sole do the Celebrity version, & find a new Business mogul to do the more traditional style Apprentice. I think there is room for both- and likely even attract different viewers.

It took ages to get going this year, but I think that in the end it ended up as a stronger series over all.
