Headphones: Do they purposely make them to break?
TBH I wear them 24/7 so they get a lot of use, but they always seem to break, either at the join where the headband meets the earphone, or the line breaks all the time.
I'm sure the join can be made a lot more hard wearing. |

Indeed. A right-angle between the jack connector and cable makes them much more durable, but hardly any manufacturer seems to use them.
If you spend a lot of money on a pair, though, they'll usually replace them for you (or at least, I've had about 4 pairs out of Ultimate Ears). |

I bought some Airwalk ones off Sportsdirect the other day. £3.99. Bargain!

I have a regular routine of having to replace my KSC75s every 4 or so months. I've stopped since the price has gone up to around £15. It's good value but I'm not paying that much when I constantly wear down the plug. Should pull out a soldering iron, but my attempts of repairing the jack don't seem worthwhile at all. Not as great a buy as it was for picking them up for £9.79 free delivery anymore.
I just make do with the stock Sony NC headphones supplied with my A845 until the price comes down on the KSC75s or I find better value for me to treat them like consumables.
