I am having this problem post-DSO on the Ridge Hill transmitter on playback. rarely watch TV live and so cannot say if it happens when watching in realtime. However the other PVR's (Humax 9200, Sony and a TiVo) don't show any problem in realtime.

I manually set the channels rather than the automatic scan. Powering down does not clear the problem. v3.4 software. No other activity going on when I am watching a playback. Very few timers set up. Library pretty empty.

Searching the forums shows several instances of this problem with other models but not this one. So might it be a dodgy hard drive? Would a reformat fix it? If not, is it a simple (!) issue of sticking in a new drive? Or does the drive need a basic set of software/special formatting and if so are there any suppliers out there?

TIA

When you say you've powered it down, have you actually disconnected it from the mains for a minute and reconnected?

Have you tried a first-time installation?

That's all I can think of, given that you have up-to-date software and you don't seem to be over-stressing the unit

I have a different Vestel (Hitachi T825) that I have to do the "hard reboot" on quite frequently, and another (Wharfedale T825) that won't respond to any treatment, I should chuck it out but I do love my Vestels

Do you really need to post the same message in 3 different threads. Some might call that trolling .
