I've just bought a Digistream recorder and am pleased with it so far. When I change to an HD channel I'm given the option of watching in HD which I select. But if I miss that choice, I can't find how to switch to HD. I've read the manual, but no mention as far as I can see. Would be grateful for any advice.

Is there a button on your remote control marked AV or Source, that might have the option for HDMI in, your Digistream unit might cycle through the inputs until it finds HD.

Thanks, Jason, but I don't have either of those. Trawling through the channels, I have noticed that BBC1 HD is on 50, so perhaps I should just change to that channel?

Another thing is that AV4 and some numbers are really annoying in the top left hand corner. It's 3 lines and quite wide. Is there any was of getting rid of these, please?

Press the 'on-screen display button' on your TV handset and turn it OFF - you've previously pressed it and turned it ON.
