Do more lcd/plasma screen TVs go wrong compared to CRTs?

Pity, many people would have wanted to collect and restore that set, I'm sure. Or break it up for parts.

Blue diamond sets, I hear, were much more reliable

Only when carrying them home from Currys or wherever you buy them (unless you get them delivered - but then the van might have to drive over them!)
