whats you favourite 80s tune??
What’s the best 80s song. I love the eighties but especially the classics like Alphaville and forever young, Fat Larry’s band and ZOOM.
What’s your favourite song from that great time for music. Ahh great memories!!!!!!!!!!!!1 |

Also Century Radio has an 80s weekend but only every other song is an 80s song. I used to play Vice City just so I could have the 80s radio playing in the car. Some great 80s songs there too. |

I know it's not a particularly original choice, but possibly Blue Monday by New Order. Or maybe Love Like Blood by Killing Joke.

Fave 80's songs...
If it's tune,as in singular, then it probably has to be "This Corrosion"
by The Sisters of Mercy, blinding song, great vid too(rare for those days)Adding to the above? "Eloise" by The Damned (IMO nearly as good as the orig.) "Moonchild" by The Fields of The Neph. "80's" Killing Joke

Just a couple that I can remember:
Wouldnt it be good - Nick Kershaw Blue Monday - New Order Trapped - Captain Abraham Road to Nowhere - ????? Land Down Under - Men at Work Amityville - ???? Not sure if all of these were in the 80s, they're just the ones that I remember most vividly from my childhood!!!! |

So many, some great ones , and an awful lot of crap.
Synths got their break early on and achieved status of a true musical instrument. Possibly the Human League - Love Action, comes close to being the difinitive 80 track for me, but the ones that come close Heaven 17 - Come Live with Me SpizzEnergy - Wheres Captain Kirk Peter Gabriel - Big Time Kate Bush - December Will be Magic Again , Babooshka Killing Joke - Requiem , Follow the Leaders PIL - This is what you Want, this is What you Get |

My fav tune of all time is With Or Without You by U2, 1987..
.. but in terms of stereotypical 80s era, id go for Blue Monday by New Order |

And of course the dance track of the 80s for us would have been TenPole Tudor - Swords of a Thousand Men |
