I always used to get Sabrina and Spagna mixed up.
Can't imagine why - it's not as if they were both gormless trash pop one hit wonder euro-birds.

Once In a Lifetime by Talking Heads.
I would've also said Video Killed the Radio Star (Buggles) and My Sharona (Knack), but I'm pretty sure they were released in '79.

Waiting for a girl like you,
Cold as ice,
I want to know what love is,
Urgent.

Some of the best generic Foreigner tracks that I know of.

Oh I liked the Tracy Chapman album - I went to see her live the other year and she was brilliant. Shame her new album never went any where it was great.

I remember a time when it was really uncool to admit to liking any 80's tune now it is uncool to admit to liking any 90's tune.

Any way back to the topic - I can't remember all the tunes in the 80's there is so many but the some of my favourites was
Echo and the Bunneyman = Bring on the Dancing Horses
Echo and the Bunneyman = Seven Seas
The Christains = Harvest to the world
Tears for fears = Everybody Wants to Rule the World
Move Closer - Phyllis Nelson
Simple Minds = Alive and Kicking
Simple Minds = Don't You (Forget about me)
Tracy Chapman = Fast Car
Fine Young Cannibles = Johnny come home
The Pretenders = Brass in my pocket
Prince = Purple Rain

Luckly I had an aunt who bought lots of records and still has them in good condition so when I go and visit her I often listen to her music. But she wont let me borrow any of them.

I was in an 80's disco with a friend recently and this chav girl came up to him and asked him that very question.
He replied with "I Know It's Over" by the Smiths.
The look on her face was a picture.

Are both very beautiful and underrated songs that never reached the Top 40 in this country sadly.
