Yeah. Kind of adds a whole new meaning to "U can't touch that." I mean, you'd need a pair of tailors shears to find it.

This song sprung to mind when I saw this thread... but I think my top 80s song has to be Kylie's I Should Be So Lucky as it embodies pop, camp, Stock/Aitken/Waterman and many memories for me all in one go.

Notbale mentions to other genres...

She Sells Sanctuary/Cult
Rapper's Delight/Sugarhill Gang
Running Up That Hill/Kate Bush
Somebody Else's Guy/Jocelyn Brown

I could write a fairly lengthy list, but just to name a few....

Like you,I think Zoom is a superb track, and another one I never tire of hearing is Shalamar-A Night To Remember. They were superb when they did that last year on Hit Me Baby One More Time, still sounded as fresh as ever.I could not believe that Shakin Stevens won the show over them. They were sheer class and he was totally crass.I also liked stuff like Adam And The Ants,Bad Manners,Ian Dury,Blondie and some stuff by Spandau Ballet.Chant Number One was my favourite one of theirs.
