Tainted Love - Soft Cell

Oh yes A-ha "Take On Me" Brilliant song. Love it till this day and not the "A1" version.

"Queen" very much sum up the Eighties for me also:-

Radio Ga Ga
I want To Break Free

Also alot of Simple Minds, Pet Shop Boys and Fine Young Cannibals.

The Eighties may for some been full of Colourful Dressing, Cross Genders, Punk, Scary and Weird. But for me the 80's was my Era and I love that I was part of it.

There is alot of pop every decade, but there's good pop and there's bad pop!

People are posting 'Tiffany - I Think We're Alone' on here for goodness sake!

Peel's Festive 50 was a listener's pole and picked up many other 80's classics.

I guess that you could even say that some of these are pop, Tears for Fears - Mad World, for instance.

So, so many - the ones I can think of at the moment are "Duel / Jewel" by Propaganda and "Lean On Me" or "For America" by Red Box.

Hard to believe he topped himself, although actually I think those two songs have a rather haunting and disturbing quality about them in the same way Nirvana's did. You could also say that about the Manic's 'Holy Bible ' album.
