3. Classic - Adrian Gervitz
4. Words - F R David
5. Sad Songs - Elton John
6. Cherish - Kool & the Gang
7. Rain Or Shine - Five Star
8. It's A Sin - Pet Shop Boys
9. Wild World - Maxi Priest
10. Leave A Light On - Belinda Carlisle

I must be showing my age here although for the record I am in my early 30's.

What do you think of my choices? There were so many to choose from, and some that I had forgotten about most of them for good reason.

As for the B52's song Love Shack, I can confirm that it was in fact May 1990.”

Apart from 1, 8, & 10 the rest include some of the worst of the 80's IMHO.

Being a massive Level 42 fan I love Love Games, Microkid, The Sun Goes Down (Living It Up), but my favourite is Something About You. Never really liked Running In The Family, bit too pop.

Someone mentioned Garden Party by Mezzoforte. Kenny Thomas has put words to the music called I Will, on his album Crazy World. Kenny Thomas was a bonus when I saw Level 42 on tour in 2006. Don't know who the support act is this year, roll on October!

Yes, I liked Running In The Family at the time but it sounds very dated now compared to their earlier stuff.

Here's a couple I've posted on Youtube in the last few weeks:

Too too many 80's classics in my mind, and household, but loads of great stuff already posted.

I've loads of favourites, but off the top of my head:-

Rip it up - Orange Juice
Something About You - Level 42
You Spin Me Round - Dead Or Alive
Ain't Nobody - Rufus & Chaka Khan
Never Too Much - Luther Vandross
Criticize - Alexander O'Neal
Don't Talk To Me About Love - Altered Images
Love Action - The Human League
Out Of Touch - Hall & Oates
I Won't Back Down - Tom Petty

plus loads of other stuff by Scritti Politti, Depeche Mode, Big Country, Simple Minds, The Smiths, Heaven 17, Ultravox, The Police, The Jam, The Style Council, Marillion, Genesis, Tears For Fears, Ian Dury & The Blockheads etc etc...

Can't find a video for Kenny Thomas, but did find this on Youtube which at least has the song I'm on about on it. I Will by Kenny Thomas - put words to the old Mezzoforte track Garden Party.

That is a great track, but my personal favourite is With or Without You by U2 - not many songs better that for me (personal fav from all eras is Iris by Goo Goo Dolls.)

The Pet Shop Boys version of Always On My Mind is brilliant as well.

The Smiths - There Is A Light That Never Goes Out. Favourite song ever, and it just happens to be an 80s tune.

Fat Larry's Band,Zoom,is totally awesome even today. And Shalamar-A Night To Remember always makes makes me feel good too.I can't remember if Blondie's Atomic and Dreaming were early 80's or late 70's,but they are excellent nostalgia as well.
