Who do I have to sleep with to get John Barrowmore off our screens?
Clearly not the people he has been sleeping with to keep him on our screens!
He is everywhere, gurning and grinning, acting and singing.... badly. I watched the opening "song" of his new show on Saturday (I could not find the remote), and I wanted to rip off my ears and poke out my eyes. Who on earth watches it? Awful. The man is a talentless buffoon. (Breaths out) |

Are you female? If so i would suggest its JB himself you need to sleep with. Turn him back. They will turn him down. Or you could just turn it over.

I love him in Torchwood/Doctor Who, and he's an amazing live performer both in theatrical roles and at his own concerts.
Tonight's The Night is absolute rubbish, though. I can't believe it wasn't axed after the first series. |

As I said, I watched the opening strains, saw his purple lapels, his shiny hair, tombstone teeth grin, heard a few bars of the same line being sung over and over again, a bunch of dancers behind him questioning their career turn and switched over. Sharpish

The guy is good looking and charming, I'll give him that.
Also, he's not like the usual 'queeny' gay man who often frequents our screens. He's gay but you wouldn't guess it. All that said, he hasn't got much talent. In Torchwood he's...erm...ahem, all right. And in that embarrassing 'variety show' he's equally so-what 'entertainment'. I can't say I dislike him but he always comes across as a third-rate entertainer. Has skills but not quite there. |

![]() Surely we have homegrown talentless gits to give shows to. Why him? BIB: My Gaydar must be sharp, I knew he was gay the second I clapped eyes on him in Episode one of Torchwood. |

His Saturday night 'entertainment' show is a horrific experience, even during a thirty second channel-flick. His voice is a bit brash stage show and grates very quickly. I can't watch the bloke.
I don't recall him being so annoying when he was on TV years ago, as in the early 1990s. |

He is everywhere I agree, I'd love to see less of him, much less. He probably goes out with someone at the BBC, only reason I can see for him getting all these programmes when there is so many better people to host and act in British dramas.

Well the BBC commissioning & production is one big gay & lesbian party! So maybe its him doing the sleeping with someone?

He's hardly ubiquitous at the minute (unless I'm watching the wrong shows) -- once a week on Torchwood and every Saturday for Tonight's the Night. So he's on TV for, what, a maximum of two hours a week? That's practically nothing.

I like John Barrowman. If you don't like him don't watch him, there are plenty of people on tv I can't stand. I am not on here moaning about them.
