Weird Al Yankovic's parodies are my faves:
Like A Surgeon (Madonna's Like A Virgin): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=notKtAgfwDA&ob=av2e Smells Like Nirvana (Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FklUAoZ6KxY&ob=av2e Perform This Way (Gaga's Born This Way): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ss_BmTGv43M Eat It (Michael Jackson's Beat It): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcJjMnHoIBI&ob=av2e Loads more on his YouTube page. Definately Weird Al is the best, I'm sure there was a thread about this not long ago.
Amish Paradise (Gangsters Paradise) The Story So Far (American Pie) Yoda (Lola) Fat (Bad) You're pitiful (You're Beautiful) Saw him live last year and he is excellent. Apparantly it was his first UK tour, and he has ben around for over 30 years, so don't expect him back any time soon! |

I like that Weird Al puts so much work into his parodies and really takes them seriously, especially when it comes to the videos.
Let me also be the first person to mention the Shirehorses! They released 2 great albums! |

Imagine if Weird Al did Tweedy... "Fight for this shove" "3 slurs" "fartbreaker"
Al should do any song from Evanescence. |

Different type of parody as it's of a theme, but do like this parody of the James Bond Theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xc17zmeMlSI (makes many good points :P)
Other favourites include; She Was Beautiful... I swear (Originally You're Beautiful by James Blunt) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0UT2...eature=related Pretty much any of the literal covers, such as Rick Roll'd The Literal Version - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNoi_wwzbtQ Again, perhaps not strictly a song parody, but it does do a period where he redoes the theme and I find it ammusing; MTV Movie Awards Spider-Man Parody (ft. Jack Black) [about 3:30 for the song] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycTz89FEa4c If I Were A Girl (Originally If I Were A Boy by Beyonce) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWhKd...feature=relmfu Sheila's Wheels parody by The Amateur Transplants - [Naughty language and such things used :P] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b90BRBx5mY0 |
