Looks RHOM will out do any of the other franchises if the reunion rumours are true.
Lisa sues Joanna for defamation
Marysol and Lea go at it and turns explosive
Lisa call Ana a failure and lays into her

Totally agree. It took me a while to get into Atlanta, but who doesn't love the sassiness and drama only housewives like Nene and Phaedra can bring? They have so much more fun with their franchise than other housewives shows who seem to just bitch and moan all the time, without the wit (Jersey & OC).

Miami is a surprising hit for me. I just think it might be lacking major drama or maybe the drama feels a bit staged. Either way I think it has a lot more potential than the New York franchise and that used to be my favourite before Jill and Alex got axed. Simon Van Kempen (sp?) runs a website detailing Bravo's ratings and it seems like Andy is doing worse on his WWHL show than some of the other housewives shows. Andy might be up for the axe himself soon. http://bravoratings.com/

So true. I also like the +1 and +2 options. With the arrival of TLC there's a whole new world of Trash for me to watch.

I'd be really p'd off if I couldn't get the channels.

About to have a Miami glutten view of the last 3 episodes. Looking forward to the wedding from all you guys have said.

LOL, I totally agree about TLC. I love the trash they show on there, Devious Maids, Honey Boo Boo, Myrtle Manor, although the latter is totally scripted and I think I may give it up.

Right, just watched Miami reunion - heaven knows which season lol. Think I've got the names right...

Loved Ana in the series but she was vile in the reunion
Adriana is unbearable
Karent is odd but I think judged harshly despite that
Alexia I can't like
Lisa seems pretty harmless
Lea is too cutting but I kind of like her
Joanna, hmm, mediocre sober, vile drunk
Marysol I can't figure out but she seems benign compared with the rest
Love Elsa, she has a glint in her eye which I love in anyone

Sorry, I appreciate this is all old news but I'd recorded loads and got really behind. Not even started Vancouver but am dreading it from your posts

I feel like an outsider. I couldn't follow just 3 episodes of Miami so I went back and watched the whole of Season 3 so far. It was marginally better that way. I got to recognise and put names to faces but, it's no good, I have a mental block in that I couldn't give a toss about any of them.
I tried very hard to see why everyone else enjoys it. But I suppose it's like Atlanta. Some find it hard to care about the "ladies" in that, while I lap it up.
I'll see out S3 if only for the Reunion which, IIRC was a humdinger of insults, tirades and threats at the end of S2. But I cant see me bothering with a fourth season.

daisiesfan Stick with Myrtle Manor! I know it's scripted to the hilt and I'd never rewatch it but I enjoyed it for the most part.

And "thanks a bunch TLC" You've got me rehooked on Toddlers and Tiaras. I moaned at the last episode because the Mothers were all semi normal and I love the cray cray ones. That's when you know you've watched too much trash TV. I should be writing letters abhorring the child abuse and exploitation instead of watching a 6 month old baby supposedly loving being in pageants. @self

Now Cheer Perfection and Dance Moms really tick all the boxes for me. I love them.

Lol, hiya Tally. I guess there's a HW show for everyone

Watched a few Vancouvers today....bit of money knocking around isn't there?!

I like Mary and at a push maybe Christina. Reiko (sp?) seems okay so far.

REALLY dislike Ronnie and Jody but somehow Ronnie is the worst I think.

I'm kinda mad that Vancouver got canned. The show could have a bright future if they dropped Mary, Ronnie & Jody from the cast. Ioulia, Robin and Amanda, along with another 2/3 new girls, could have easily continued with the show.

Did it actually say series 8? On Tivo it's showing as series 1.

Season 1? No way can I watch OC from the beginning again. If that was the first franchise I watched I would never have watched another one. It was so tame when it started and boring as hell.

I think by the end of Season 2 the ratings had well and truly gone down the pan. The vile Amanda was just as much to blame for that as Jody and Ronnie were. Personally, I would never watch another Housewives show that Slice made no matter who was in it.
I also think that the franchise in general is on it's way out. The ratings for all of them have gone down and I bet the trend continues when Beverly Hills and Atlanta return.

The last lost footage episode of NJ was another good one. They really did cut out all the best bits from the season and aired what should have been left on the cutting room floor.

I predict the franchise has another 3 years at the very most.

One of the major problems is that ''storylines'' tend to become too similar across all of them. For example, all of them seem to have Twitter spats now - something negative being tweeted during filming and it all creeps into the ''story''. Beverly Hills had it last season, New Jersey and Miami had it this year.

Everyone is much more savvy now in how these shows work. Viewers know that in reality these women wouldn't interact with each other if there really was this much tension - we all know there's a pay check keeping them there. The majority of the parties and events that occur are just launches for some crappy product a HW is endorsing. They aren't the high society parties that they really strive for - probably because a truly high society event wouldn't accommodate a camera crew intending to film a confrontation of some sort. Then there's the casting process for these shows. It's becoming increasingly difficult because the risks seem to be too great. Nobody wants to look like a fool on TV, the divorce rate amongst HWs seems to be very high and you'd have to be a pretty secure person to cope with the negativity from, not only the other women, but the viewers.

They probably were. They could always start another in Toronto or something.

An interesting thing Alex McCord said in her online show regarding the negativity of housewives shows, was that you always hear housewives complain about nice/fun scene's being left on the cutting room floor but when a show goes too dark, instead of producing it in a different light they fire the housewives. She said it's not the cast it's the producers who make it dark - which I had never thought of really. How is that fair?

Sadly, I agree. The hey-day is over for them. I hope the trend is changed with Beverly Hills and Atlanta though. They really should think about axing a few shows to keep the format kind of fresh for the big shows. I'd probably axe Miami, New York and either Orange County or New Jersey and keep going with Beverly Hills, Atlanta and either Orange County or New Jersey - preferably Orange County.

Hopefully Tivo is wrong and it is series 8. If the Bio channel is closing here then the only channels Housewives will be on are Itv2 and E, Bio showed the first UK runs of NJ and BH. I'll need to start viewing them elsewhere!

Isn't Bio going to be replaced by Lifetime? If so there's a ton of Reality shows produced by them including the ever classy Project Runway ( I adore Tim Gunn). It's ages since they ever showed any PR and although I've watched every Season (s12 has just finished) I'd definitely watch reruns.
I could also see them taking up the HoWives franchise.

Digiguide confirms the next OC will be Series 1.

Not good enough. Lordy how many times have the first series of OC and BH been shown now. There's tons of stuff that would be new and fresh. BAH @ ITV2

I wish they'd hurry up and show Season 3 of BH!

I've watched a bit of OC but it just got boring and boring and boring. :P

What happened with Season 2 of Vancouver? They were seriously catty to each other - however I liked Ioulia. Not only was she russian, like me, but she tried to calm everyone down.

They are showing season 2 of BH on Bio at the moment, 8pm weeknights. Hoping they continue into season 3.

I am struggling to watch OC season 7 again... in comparison to Atlanta, BH and Vancouver, OC is childsplay! lol

OC would be good if it was condensed because they have some good drama and entertainment but a lot of filler with it to ensure those 18(+) episodes. If it went down to 12 or something, it'd be epic.

Strange. Digiguide have removed all descriptions of OC. If so S8 may finally be on it's way.

See, I would understand it if E! had the rights to the 8th Season of OC, as E and Bravo are sister channels in the US and both belong to NBCUniversal. But the 3rd Season of Beverly Hills on Bio? That would be really strange
