I always thought the keeping / firing was to do with how much each housewife brought to the reunion. I honestly think that's one of the reasons why Taylor was fired from BH, I mean she contributed nothing to the S3 reunion.
Quote:
Well Not really i mean look at Jill from NYC from what i saw she always had drama throughout and at the reunion's and even loopy Kelly lol.
They do get rid if a HW has done nothing all season but i think if they know the show need to be refreshed then a cast shake up is the way to go. I agree about cast shake-ups being the way to go every now and then, but it's who goes that Bravo messes up. I really don't find the cast at fault this season. The cast could continue with these changes: Everyone: Drop the petty highschool BS. No one needs to defend anyone and stop making problems from nothing. Carlton (only because I'm all for a 2nd chance)- less stripper scenes and tone the sexualisation down, less crazy wicca-related nonsense. More of her and her daughters, show her doing her interior design work. Joyce- Less use of the word 'bully' and woe is me. I wanna see who Joyce is, her home, her acting stuff. It would be interesting to see her and her hubby working together. More fun scenes of her and Kyle. Kim- Less not turning up to things. More ex-hollywood star things, getting back into acting, new love interests/dating. Brandi- Less tackiness, less swearing, less being unnecessarily mean for the sake of shock value. More fun (sober) times, more vulnerability and more career ventures - like the photo shooting stuff (edited well they could be interesting) Kyle- Less wimpy. More acting roles, more store scenes and celebrity event scenes. I want more scenes of her Kim & Joyce being friends. More with her kids, especially Farrah to show what she's doing and maybe some real estate agent scenes as that's what she formerly did. Lisa and Yolanda as 'friends' - I feel they have nothing more to offer at this point. We've seen all sides of them. They're both too image-cautious to get involved in anything directly or air their real reasons for things and it comes off as petty. They would be good friends and could sill host lavish events which would suit Lisa as she always moans how busy she is. It's the best of both worlds - she's still their but not all the time. 1 or 2 new housewives and 2 or 3 new 'friends of the wives'(like Atlanta). I think one of the new wives needs to be well known - or married to someone well known. We need a new Camille. Denise Richards or Pamela Anderson would be good for big names. I wouldn't rule out a Taylor return or a Camille or Adrienne one. In fact I'd love them back either as 'friends' or for guest appearances. Anyone new has to be super rich though. As in, Adrienne Maloof rich. I want big fancy $20 million houses again. (I know that's shallow). I think it's going to be a hard one to call on this with the popularity being so spread evenly among the cast. None of them are entirely stale with nowhere to go either. Unlike the OC where it was obvious who had to go. I don't think axing half the cast and bringing in 4 newbies will help at all. It maybe could have if they didn't axe A & T last season a brought in 2 newbies but when it begins to become a revolving door of women the viewers get bored and annoyed. I think with so many of the newbies being a miss has shown that at this stage of the game people don't want newbies for some reason. Think of all the newbies across all the boards. The only one I know that has been an obvious hit (in terms of bringing it and getting viewer appreciation) is Kenya...and Aviva to a smaller extent. The rest although likeable haven't brought much to the table. EDIT: Sorry, for the huge post. I got bored and aired my opinions in one.

Lots of the RHOA blogs that I read definitely think that Kenya is most at risk of getting fired... The "pregnancy" storyline was going to be her way of securing a spot for next season but if the rumours about Porsha being pregnant are true then Kenya might not be able to save herself. Her saving grace now might be the legal troubles of Apollo & Phaedra and since other ATL cast members are also being investigated over their involvement with Apollo's fraud Kenya might keep her place by virtue of other cast members leaving. And regarding firings/reunions, I think Sheree knew she was fired before her last reunion. You can see it in her demeanour. *I know the WWHL polls aren't exactly scientific but they give a gauge of opinion. |

I'm not sure Kenya is that popular though (and I don't say that just because I can't stand her) on WWHL a few weeks ago there was a poll about least favourite ATL housewife* and Kenya got 67% of the vote while Nene came 2nd with 25%.

I would have liked another season but she has to go at the end of this season or Atlanta is about to get dark which will ruin it. Porsha is as good as gone. Even the pregnancy isn't saving her at this point. The best she can hope for is a 'friend' role. The only one that's 100% safe is Kandi. I'm not even sure about Nene with her attitude this season, she might even have to take a pay cut for her lack of contribution and fallen popularity. |

I agree she isn't popular but the reason for that is that she's bringing the drama and being a sh*t stirrer. 9 times out of 10 those that don't like her still appreciate/acknowledge that she brings the drama. I don't think she's going anywhere because without her this season of Atlanta would be a dud. I'm not keen on her story lines either but she thrives in the group settings.

I'm hearing a lot of people saying that they won't be watching RHOA anymore after the fight as that sort of drama isn't what the show is about, now obviously people say that sort of stuff at the time but do carry on watching anyways but it will be interesting to see the ratings for the next episode. The thing is that the legal stuff will probably now impact who stays for next season... If other cast members are involved then even Porsha could keep her place by defualt. And while Kandi probably won't be fired, there is some speculation that she might quit. She doesn't need the money and if the show is putting stress on her relationship with Todd then she may just walk. I keep hoping that Nene will be fired, and since Andy is no longer in charge its no longer an impossibility, but I guess she'll be given another season (on reduced money) to bring old Nene back. |

I just can't with Porsha. I think they'd be more likely to bring in one of the auditionee's rather than her again. She's a had a big backlash this season - especially over the rail road incident. I can actually see that happening. Especially, if Phaedra goes. As much as I like Kandi I think it would be right if she left now before production do a U-turn and destroy her popularity. I'm not sure what she'd bring next season either but I'd be happy either way. Amen to that. Nene has long out stayed her welcome. She's like a spare part with Sheree and Kim. |

Kandi does not need the HW or the money in fact i would be surprised if she comes back next season out of all the HW Kandi is the only one who can walk away unscathed. Kenya needs to stay as much as she may annoy some people she brings the drama and I like her one liners and i like her confessionals.
I agree with you both ion NeNe i actually would even love to read that she has been fired can you imagine what she will do but i dont see it happening if she is still like how she is now come S8 then maybe she might be let go.

I do actually like some of Kenya's one-liners in her talking heads... What she said about Apollo acting like he was in his jail cell fighting for his virginity was brilliant.
I think my main problem with her is that its clear that none of the other ladies want to film with her so we get the ridiculous scenes of her twerking around her house and making up songs with Brandon. Having said that, when her and Marlo team up against Nene I suspect that I will be firmly Team Kenya. |

Does anyone here watch Alex Mccords recaps on youtube ?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssW05KLMn5c She says alot of what goes on behind the scenes of the show and how producers manipulate certain situations I actually enjoy her recaps and its refreshing to hear someone who experienced being on the Real Housewives. |

On the subject of Nene, I wouldn't be surprised if she quit after this season as she was very vocal on Twitter about the editing of the fight. Personally, whilst I no longer care for her, I do think the show may suffer without her unless they get a huge character to replace her. Haven't even bothered with Beverly Hills this week as it makes me sad how far it's gone down the pan. I may catch up over the weekend if I get bored of watching paint dry. Roll on March and the return of the NY ladies. |

daisiesfan your so right about Beverly Hills, I'm still watching, but I just find it so dull- its not the show it used to be.
I'm so looking forward to the return of the NY ladies. Its been so long since the last season. With regards Nene, I really think the only way she is leaving Atlanta is if she quits herself, I don't see them getting rid of her. I still more or less enjoy watching Nene, I don't love her the way I used to, but I just cant imagine Atlanta without her either. I actually think Atlanta has a great cast. Kenya is a crazy sh*t stirrer but I love watching her. I don't really think she will be going anywhere. Its a shame its so obvious the other women just don't like her and therefore don't like filming with her, I totally agree that she really comes into her own in the group settings, she's brilliant. Also I LOVE her talking heads, she throws great shade and she has some killer one liners

I bet it was Adriana that was pissed. She has every right to be. She carries this show and then dumbass Lisa takes the main seat...I don't think so. I hope Lisa is dropped, I can't bear her. |

But I bet now she is hearing its coming back she wants to keep producers on side so she is invited back cause I dont think Bravo will let her on BH or OC......... well i hope not. Joanna is a fame whore who desperately wants to stay on TV. |

Fingers crossed this is true. I love Miami now after initially hating it. I think a cast shake up will definitely be on the cards though.

I was thinking the same but then Alexia says they've spoken to all the women about filming dates so I'm confused. They surely can't bring back the same cast, we need to drop a few and get a few newbies.

I know it's weird. Wasn't there only 5 main housewives last season and Marysol was a 'friend'? If that's the case there's no reason why they couldn't add another 2 full time housewives and get rid of Marysol altogether. Personally, while I have nothing against Alexia, she could be dropped down to a friend as other than her mardy son Peter, she has no storyline now that Frankie is getting better. Even with the same cast I will definitely still watch, but I doubt it will do much for the ratings.
A bit of Kyle's interview with All Things The Real Housewives: There have been rumors that Bravo is looking to shake-up the cast for next season. Is it true that you threatened to quit the show because the network wanted to let Kim [Richards] go? KR: “That was a rumor just like the rest of that story was. Very common around here Although, I would not want to do the show without my sister, but that topic has never come up.”I really like the way she has done this. She cemented her position without being confrontational and stand-offish with the network. Very smart move. |

Um, there's a picture of an OK article circulating on Twitter that says that Lea and Joanna are reportedly getting fired, and that filming has been moved to FALL so producers can search for the new wives. If this is true, then we won't see the Miami housewives again until spring 2015 the earliest.

I think they need to do a cast shake up for maimi but is bravo 'fireing' Joanna so she can move over to Beverly Hills ![]() ![]() But some new cast is needed i think they should: Adrianna - Keep Joanna - Keep 'if she leaves miami then i think she will move to another HW so she need to stay put 'New HW New HW New HW New HW would be interesting to see how Adrianna and Jo change. |

Well lets face it either Alexia or Lea (or both) are going to be staying.
In terms of the cast they are THE Miami social scene, without these two on the show there would be no parties for the show to go to. Unless they can find someone of their social standing to replace them forget it. I can understand them losing Joanna, she was obviously drafted in as bit of a zeleb to grab ratings with tenuous connections to Miami via her man however after two seasons I don't think anyone is convinced she doesn't still just fly in from somewhere else to film her scenes and then fly straight back out again. And the fact is her zeleb hasn't done that much for the ratings. |
