It most certainly has.

“It's a shame that for being the fashion capital we are shown so little fashion. It was Kelly that brought the fashion world to RHONY because she had the connections and when she went so did the connections and events. I don't think we've seen the new cast attend fashion shows yet, never mind walk in them like Kelly/Luann/Ramona/Alex did. I'm sorry but that's not true, advertisers pay by ratings. That's why networks want high ratings - it brings in the advertising revenue.”
It's not just about fashion shows. It's about product placement and marketing deals.
And of course advertisers pay by ratings, however there are numerous other factors that have to be taken into account. I mean for example what would be more successful? A doctor pitching a tractor to 100 accountants or a tractor salesman pitching a tractor to 1 farmer? Having a large audience is great but if you're using the wrong seller and selling the wrong product then it's all in vain,
So yes advertiser pay by ratings but they also pay the type of audience and the shows brand. And the fact is in these areas they will pay more to be attached to the New York brand than the Atlanta?
One of the major reason is of course race. As white women are one of the biggest buying demographics, brands which include white women hold a higher premium. And white women from one of the fashion capitals of the world (and by that I don't just mean fashion shows I mean lifestyle) hold an even higher premium.
As such even though the ratings might be lower they might still be enough if the brand is right and the audience is right. And is far as I'm aware although they may not be what they were, they are still pretty decent by Bravo's standard increasing the viewership in that timeslot.
This is also the reason I've never been convinced Porsha would be sacked or demoted. A lot has been made about the repositioning of the Atlanta audience to the younger female. And race aside the other big buying demographic is young females and out of all the women Porsha fits the brand. Like I've said advertisers might want Nene and Kenya there to bring the ratings but it's Cynthia and Porsha who fit the brands to sell the wares.
