Just watched the latest from NJ. It seems to have descended into a series of petty squabbles between the main characters, but when a 10 year old brat starts ruling the roost and being even more of a drama queen than her Mother ( talking Gia here, who needs a dose of old fashioned discipline not mollycoddling) then I find myself switching off. Angela, I think it was you who said these people may have money but dont know how to be happy ( not Tre and Juicy though, he's heading for the clink while Tre is fighting to keep the family afloat and not sinking further into the mire his dodgy dealings and slum landlord tricks have landed them in). You were right.

Gia is obviously picking up what she's getting at home, especially now Joe Guidice has been allegedly cheating on Tre. He is utterly repulsive, as is his brother-in-law, the tension is palpable.

I have a sort of grudging respect for Tre after watching her on Zleb Apprentice- she was a hard grafter and, maybe she was overawed by the higher listed B Zlebs she was around, but she was quiet, polite and likeable. What she's having to deal with at the moment I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, but looking back to when they moved into that monstrosity she calls home, the writing was on the wall.
So much utter tat, so much expense that they couldn't afford. I would rather live in my little semi-detatched home with neighbours I get on with than ever contemplate being in debt and worrying when my douchebag husband was going to jail.

For the first time I am starting to be really critical of Caroline. I've always thought of her as the solid, dependable one, full of motherly common sense. But she's frantically stirring the pot and making sure things dont go smoothly. I also hate her attitude to Lauren's weight. If that's being supportive then shut the hell up woman and say nothing.

Jacqueline decides to have a "field day" a sort of school sports type of activities afternoon. But Gia accuses her uncle of cheating and throws an almighty strop as she's being "tortured". Especially when Jaque tries to read her a book about Being A Bad Sport. Tre rushes in and Gia melts down again.

Meanwhile Joe and the rest of the Guidices are down the shore as Joe cant stand to be around Joey. That goes down a storm as you can imagine when Jacqueline has worked hard so everyone can have fun. Families *sigh* Who needs them or the level of stress among them all at the moment. Only Chris and the Waikilis seem sane at the moment.

For me, not an enjoyable episode. There's a difference between being able to snark and being uncomfortable that the children are listening to all the animosity/hatred and warring going round the adults. It's a bit too close to home and my own horribly disfunctional childhood, for me.

Come on NJ, this franchise used to be my favourite.

Oh no tally. I was so looking forward to the next NJ.
No wonder I read that Andy Cohen is thinking about
ditching the RH franchise altogether

A much calmer OC this week, although Tamra tells Alexis what she thinks of her ( I'm starting to like Tamra again, it's being away from the vile Vicki) while Slimey and Gretchen go for counselling. Interesting dynamic in that relationship.

Heather finally changes to her married name and her husband is so touched. They actually have a normal, loving marriage ( she kept her old one as she was still acting ).

And Vicki is organising a trip to Costa Rica next week. It's in Mexico according to Alexis!!

Gawd, could she be any more vacant?

How thrilled will Jim be, I didn't they spent more than one night apart from each other. Am I correct in thinking that Tamra and her boyfriend seem very much in love, very genuine. He seems to be happy for her to be in the limelight and he's in the background. Not doing a 'let's get as much publicity as I can' Smiley.

They showed the S5 episode yesterday on ITV2 where Slade went to try and pick up and huge contract and was basically treated with contempt, being almost ignored by the big boss.

If the child support issues with Smiley are no closer to being resolved do you think Gretchen will call time on their relationship? I know she wants children but I also think deep down she wants someone to love and cherish her and support her. She seems to be supporting Slade but that could just be how I read it.

Who left for Heather to come in? Is Heather a famous actress?

Thanks Tally for your update.

From what she said I think Slimey's time is running out. In 3 years he's done sod all to resolve the child support problems, rows and tensions are starting to appear. I think she loves him ( why?????) but she wants a child and Slade is the last baby daddy I'd want. For once the counsellor they saw seemed good ( I trained as a counsellor after I left teaching but became a carer for my Mum before I could really practise- but most counsellors they have on the HoWives are crap)

Tamra and Eddie are sweet. As you say he's not a famewhore like Slimey and seems to genuinely care about her. According to t'internet she's sporting a nice rock on her engagement finger, having had Heather's hubby give her a skin graft to get rid of Simon's name she had tattooed on her ring finger. Awwwww.

I love Heather and Terry. I get far more pleasure watching a normal couple who respect and have a mature relationship than any of the "stab you in the back" "screeching hollering and revolting sexual references" that come out of midget Joey's mouth ( a classic case of empty vessels I reckon) that characterises the other OC and especially the NJ lot.

Heather has quite a resume. She was never a star, but she's worked pretty solidly from what I can gather. But with 4 young children 15 hour days on set are out of the question. I think she's too classy for this lot. I hope she doesn't change.

I think that Heather wasn't replacing Peggy as I think she was suppose to stay on and have 6 housewives, it was only after filming had started and Vickis dinner party that Peggy decided to quit and they just left it with the 5 housewives. But your right I don't think she ever really gelled. i haven't missed her tbh

I'll start with the RHONJ and I quite liked this weeks episode It was fun seeing the whole 'field day' activities. I don't think what Jacqueline and Caroline did to Gia was wrong or meant with any mean spiritedness but they should of just gone and got Teresa. I don't really blame Gia either as even though she's shopping for bra's she is still just a child herself and is a victim of her environment. I'm not Teresa's biggest fan but even I think she can do better then Joe Guidice. Has anyone else noticed that he's one of the only househusbands who doesn't do the 'talking heads interview bit'? Probably because he couldn't string a coherent sentence together to save his life

RHOC was okay this week. it was just one of those nice episodes to fill the time in between big drama I really like Heather and seeing her classy self at the DMV was funny but it was nice to see her do that for Terry. During the argument between Alexis and Tamra its become apparent that Gretchen is playing both sides of the fence and that is never going to end well for her. Tamra is my favorite OC housewife but I did end up feeling sorry for Alexis. I don't think she is a bad person, just extremely dumb tbh and I don't think it was right for Tamra to bring up Terry Dubrow as she wasn't even there to hear what he said about her! Next week seems to be more of the same Alexis bashing  One last thing. How great was Vicki's face when she heard Gretchen answerphone message?

Hope everyone has been enjoying the sunshine! Its been my b-day weekend so its been perfect timing for me haha

Been meaning to post my thoughts on the latest from the housewives, I havent had a chance to catch The OC yet, but Ive watched this weeks NJ and Tardy.

NJ- Im just SO not feeling this season so far. I was pretty speechless at this weeks ep, Gia's behaviour was ridiculous- (to be clear I dont blame her, she is only a child and God knows all the stress within that family cant be helping her any) but I dont think Tre helped matters any by running in & mollicoddling her. I dont particularly think Jacqueline and Caroline meant to upset her, but really, they should just left well alone and brought in Teresa to handle her daughter. I felt a bit bad for Jac, she was clearly loving the idea of her "field day" and just wanted everyone to have fun and get along- as if with that lot involved- but it was a shame her hard work went to nothing and it descended into snarking and bitching.

I never thought Id say this, but I am rapidly going off Caroline, I used to see her as the matriarch I guess of the ladies, the mature, level headed one, but lately shes turned into a real sh*t stirrer, and she really has it in for Tre. Its a little ridiculous. And dont even start me on this insulting storyline with Lauren and her weight. Dear Lord, if Caroline and Albert think their behaviour is supportive, Id hate to see the opposite! From Caroline with her "Lauren is fat- It would be easier if it were one of the boys" attitude, then this week Albert said he was glad Lauren didnt have a date for her school prom and had to go with Albie (now I would have happily went to my prom with Albie but hes not my brother) in Alberts words "boys want to be friends with the chubby girl, they dont want to date her"

As if it needs to be said, but "Juicy Joe" really is vile. Tre can do SO much better than him, no wonder Gia reacts the way she does when she has that as a father. The whole bit with him and Tre in the car was horrendous, he was ranting on and saying this, that and the other about her family and how he would "kick them out of his house" then when Tre tries to stop his rant he tells her to shut up. Hes a pig. Of course then you cut to Tre saying how really she and Joe never fight Oh Tre.......you have no Idea.

I used to love NJ, it was propably my fave of the housewives franchises, but this season really isnt doing it for me at all. I hope it find its stride soon.

And onto Tardy- now this is a show I love, and my only complaint is that the eps are only 30mins long. Id happily watch an hour of Kim. This week the drama wasnt with her crazy mother, but instead maid of honour Jen. Kim feels she isnt helping and hasnt been contributing anything to the planning of the wedding- I actually felt quite bad for her when she was getting so upset over it all, & I hope they work it out. Its only 4 days to the wedding now and I dont think Kim can deal with anything else! Her reaction to the tent for the wedding was typical Kim, bear in mind, this thing was pretty much already built and assembled, with a whole squad of workmen working on it, Kim takes one look at it and demands they tear it all down! The look on Colin Cowies assistant's face was hilarious, she tried to tell Kim how fabulous it would look when it was done and how it was protection incase it should rain. Kims solution to that is simple, it wont rain cos "God has it covered" I adore Kim I really do. Itll cost $15,000 to take the tent down but she would happily eat the money to be rid of it. I kinda agree with her though, she hated it and really all she wants is her wedding to be perfect, so why not do it exactly as you want it.

Also, it was lovely seeing Kandi at her bridal shower (which maid of honour Jen did NOT attend. You can guess how that went down) and I thought it was sweet of her to ask kandi to sing at the wedding. They seem to have a nice friendship when its just the two of them, away from all the bitching and sniping that goes on in RHOA. Of course, we just wont mention the money owed for that song......

Her wedding gift to Kroy was very Kim, she had his football jersey painted onto her naked body & had some sexy pics taken. Say what you like about Kim, but she puts in the effort lol Next week we finally get to see Kim without her wig!! Can.Not.Wait!!

P.S, talking of RHOA- I got a FAB new pair of Louboutins for my b-day that Nene would very much approve of! I LOVE them, honestly my love for Christain Louboutin knows no bounds

I enjoyed Tardy this week too, but what's happening with bezzie mate and matron -of-honour,Jen ?

I know Kim is just about the laziest person on the planet, but not being at her bridal shower? Weird. I cant believe it's just because she doesn't like the cameras which was the reason given for the lack of appearances on the RHo shows.

Kim has absolutely no sense of class does she? A Demi Moore type shoot for a wedding gift? I'm sure Kroy will love a naked, body painted picture of her in his football shirt. Not so sure Mamma Kroy feels the same though.

The one thing Tardy has shown is the amount of love there is between Kim and her children. I dont think you can fake that. It's made me think of Kim in a different light. With that much love you can forgive a lot.

Also how nice that Kandy came all the way from Atlanta???? I thought Kim's rented mansion WAS in Atlanta? It's not like she flew in from a different city is it?

I totally agree that tent looked vile. Colin, you are supposed to be the planet's best wedding planner (according to yourself), Sort it!

A wigless Kim next week. What will be revealed? (Bet it's a real let down and that her own hair is OK). Maybe it's fine and Kim does like everything big, including her hair. If so, why not have extensions? Wigs are flipping uncomfortable.

I couldnt agree more! I adore her little interactions with baby KJ at the beginning of the episodes, its so sweet and not at all overdone. And her girls are turning out so well. Its lovely to see how Kim is with them, its clear its not put on for the cameras. I think doing this spin off has been the making of Kim, Ive warmed to her so much and I hope we see more of this Kim on Atlanta next season.

re: Kandi, I had wondered this before, Ive heard them saying on Atlanta before how they drive out of their way for each others events, and as Im a bit sad I did a bit of research on where they live It seems most of them, I think with the exception of Cynthia, dont actually live in Atlanta at all, but in areas and neighbourhoods quite a bit outside. From what I remember I think it was Kim and Sheree who lived the furthest out so I guess depending where Kandi lives she propably did have quite a drive. God, its a bit sad that I even know that lol Still I thought it was lovely she was there, but yeah, very odd about Jen. If I was Kim Id be livid that my best friend (and maid of honour) wasnt at my bridal shower. I dont really buy the not wanting to be around the cameras excuse either. Its Kims bridal shower, surely you would get over it and make the effort.

Kim is so trash-tasic its fabulous! So very Kim to go for a bit of naked body painting as a pressie for Kroy. Id LOVE to see his mothers face I love how utterly different Kroys's clan are to Kim and all the Atlanta crowd, its hilarious. The poor woman must be wondering what shes in for!

So excited to see Kim without the wig, I do agree though, after 4 seasons on Atlanta its been built up as this big whats under the wig?! question, but I bet her hair is perfectly fine, shorter and thinner propably, but Im still excited Ive wondered myself why she doesnt go for extensions rather than a wig. The weather gets so warm in Atlanta it must be hellish having one of those wigs sat on top of your head!
Wasnt Kim meant to be bringing out a wig line? I wonder what happened with that. Im sure she gave one to Kandi as a gift during one of the earlier seasons.

I cannot believe that ITV2 have now gone back to season ONE of OC housewives, how cheap are they What about bringing us uptodate with NJ or NY housewives? Channel 4, E, and Watch seemed to have given up completely on the housewives. Damn, UK tele is 90% repeats.

Off to sulk

Yesterday was the OC reunion from the first series, today its a repeat of the one where they tell us how Jeana's husband was hit in the head with a baseball, which ended his career, that show was on last week.

Will watch that Jeana and Matt seems to have a really odd but needy relationship, even though they're not physically together.

Meant to say I was ( or would have been if my knees hadn't packed in!) very jealous of the Laboutins, Sassy. Shoes were an absolute passion of mine when I was younger, still would be, but I now have to be sensible. Very boring, Joan Collins and her glamour is not me I'm afraid. Also hope you had a fab birthday.

We're back to wait and see mode. I cant find this weeks' NJ or OC yet. Shame I was hoping to see how much Alexis liked her trip to Costa Rica in Mexico.

I love HoWives trips. I reckon that Bravo ply them with alcohol and play Chinese Whispers amongst them, because never have I seen so many grown, supposedly mature women, bitch shout and scream as when they're abroad, or even in Las Vegas.

True car-crash telly.

aww thanks tally. Thats so sweet I had a lovely b-day, which may have been due in no small part to the Louboutins I admit! Ill be wearing them this weekend so Ill work it like a true real housewife for both of us haha

Im the same, cant find OC for this week yet either, but dont worry, you havent missed NJ- it wasnt on in the US this week as it was a holiday weekend. Its back sunday night.

Cant wait to see the Costa Rica trip either, I totally agree housewive trips are fabulous. All they need to do is step on a plane, or leave the state they are in and its like the crazy ratchets up 100% Im SO looking forward to seeing the NY ladies invade London during their new season.....can you imagine just how the classless countess is going to act on that trip...... should be fab viewing!

Off to watch OC now, before I go to sleep, review tomorrow.

Just finished Tardy. Kim's sick and it's the day before the wedding. She's got more meds in her than I have and that's saying something.
There was a tearful email and phone call between Jen and Kim. Seems Jen got freaked out by the media and couldn't face it. Kim was in tears at not having lost her bezzie friend and totally understood. She's going to come as a guest not matron of honour and they both kissed and made up over the phone realising that being friends was the most important thing. Why cant Kim be like this on the Real HoWives? She's really likeable.

Seems like there's trouble a-brewing. The owner of the mansion wants to come in and inspect his house and Kim is feuding over the interior decorating bill. Which is a bit rich when Atlantas'"top" jeweller arrives and lends Kim squillions of carats of diamond jewels-bracelets, rings, earrings- you name it. Kroy has said he'll buy her one piece to keep so she chooses a $400,000 bracelet! That's definitely the old Kim there- cant afford the extra for the decorator, but a nigh on half a million buck bracelet....absolute must have!

And now the reveal. Muchos suspense and delaying shocks then wigless Kim is revealed. SHOCK HORROR. She looks lovely. It's the same style as her wigs but shorter and not so puffy. And it makes her look more soft and natural.
Word Kim, ditch the wigs. They make you look much trashier and harder.

Next week the day arrives. Hopefully nobody will poke around in the house and Kim's temperature will come down. They've got enough security for the Beckhams! Let anyone dare go exploring....cant wait.

Now off to Costa Rica with Vicki et al. I expect my ears will be ringing before I sleep.

Tee Hee. They didn't miss a day before it all kicked off. I presume the whole first day was taken up with travelling.

Our ladies (oh yes they are...oh no they're not) first had to go completely out of their way to pick up Vicki who was attending some conference in Florida. None of them were best pleased with that as it was a long and exhausting journey ( Alexis was very frugal as she only packed 2 suitcases). The fact she was only going for 2 days not 5like the rest, as she hasn't got full time nanny care, seemed irrelevant.

How can you afford a full time assistant but not a full time nanny with the man who fathered your children looking after them at night? Talk about screwed up priorities. I wonder if Jim has ever changed a nappy? Because Jim is traditional and the women are 100% responsible for house and children. Of course the bit about him being the provider has slipped his mind as the Bellinni's fight to keep financially above water.

Alexis is sporting a huge rock in the jungle which sums up her philosophy on life. Flaunt it, even though it might make you a target for thieves. The fact is it's fake (If she does own the real one I bet it's in the pawn shop) but thieves wouldn't know that, is like the whole basis of her life. A mirage.

Vicki decides to be more obnoxious and louder than ever, after she'd phoned Brooks. Vicki has never said how pathetic it is to keep phoning your O/H while you're away has she? Oh wait, remember Miami. Hypocrite ( which Tamra calls her immediately) Vicki doesn't care because her love tank is full ( EWK, that expression grosses me out, even more so when the petrol pump attendant is Brooks, Barf!) and proceeds to go even nuttier. One day the men in white coats are going to realise Vicki is certifiably insane and do us all a favour!

Our adventurous gang decided on zip lining for the first activity, with everyone ready to go, except Alexis who had been all bravado as she'd done all this before. She was terrified about launching herself onto the line, cue a load of bitching from the others. This is most definitely a huge "Have a go at Alexis trip. Talk about mean girls, it was just like school bullying. Why do these women have no filter or sense of appropriateness?

Tamra who has regressed to full on bitch mode a la previous series, told Alexis that Heather's hubby thinks she's phony. Never ever say anything to Tamra you dont want on the front page of the National Enquirer. She can stir for America. Heather's not best pleased but is going in full guns blazing to defend her husband. They decide to stage an intervention!!!
I thought interventions were for drug addicts or alcoholics, not "sit there Alexis as we tear you, your husband, your finances to bits". Still, never make a reasonable stab at conversation when a full scale drama screeching match can be had.
They told her she was shallow, materialistic, living a lie, you name it, they said it. I felt sorry for her, it was totally uncalled for on the trip. And nobody had her back. Not new BFF Vicki who obviously has delusions of grandeur since the convention as she's now a "Financial Advisor" not a saleswoman peddling a load of insurances for which she gets a nice commission. Nice try Vic, pity you have to have a college degree and all sorts of other qualifications to legitimately call yourself a Financial Advisor. Crawl back to your workaholic, very important insurance company and be a mouthy sales person. It's worked so far.

So this intervention is really ripping Alexis to shreds and denigrating Jim ( I dont mind that because though I dislike Alexis, I absolutely loathe Jim- snark all you like, ladies). Apparently he's now a used car salesman, although I've forgotten what fancy term his wife used. But he's very good at it and successful. Sure, that's why you've no money!

So battle has commenced. To be continued next episode. I know I've not mentioned Gretchen but she was so quiet. After the therapy session there's trouble in paradise for Slimey and Gretchen. It's all looking a bit rocky.

Next week canoeing down the rapids. They all look utterly terrified. I dont blame them, it looks frightening and dangerous. Maybe Tamra and Vicki will swallow too much water, make themselves ill and have to keep silent. Nah, never going to happen. Viewers aren't that lucky.

I thought Tamra said she was never getting married again? Good luck to them, at least Eddie doesn't seem as controlling as Simon.

Watched NJ last night. Caroline is certainly the villain of this season. She was diabolical this episode. Smug bitchy and so self righteous. They were going to her gay brother's wedding. Out of 11 siblings, only she and Jacqu are able to go? Really. Why? Tre could be Mother Teresa but to Caroline anything and everything is Teresa's fault. To come out with the lines "I hold Teresa responsible for a lot of relationships in my life that are hurting. She puts the wood on my family's fire. I put the lid on hers." was unbelievable. Take responsibility for your own choices and actions you self-satisfied cow. Dina has already said that Tre has absolutely nothing to do with her fall out with Caroline.

The Joes are getting more and more unbearable. They are both uncouth, repulsive, crude apes who give men in general a bad rap. I'd happily never see either again. How on earth you could sleep with them I have no idea. I'd take a vow of celibacy first. UGH.

I thought Tre came off quite well during the wedding, she was chatty, well behaved (for her ) and polite, unlike her ghastly husband and his "jokes". Thank gawd the brats were left at home.
Caroline, on the other hand, came across as an embittered old hag whose only edited bit ( yes I know this is all highly edited to fit the storyline) was to bitch about Tre.Change the subject for god's sake.
Bravo are certainly putting Treasa high in the order of priorities this series. Every character is shown as obsessed with her behaviour, thoughts, what's she's doing etc etc. I'm sure they talk about something else than her, but we dont hear it.

New Jersey is getting unwatchable for me. There's no levity and I loathe most of them. I'll give props to Treasa for pulling her finger out since Joe screwed up their lives. She's the one bringing the money in, she's the one travelling round the country for boring book tours, not him. ~He just seems to want to pick a fight or be gross. I wonder if he'll do jail time when the courts have finished with him?
