Just watched the latest from NJ. It seems to have descended into a series of petty squabbles between the main characters, but when a 10 year old brat starts ruling the roost and being even more of a drama queen than her Mother ( talking Gia here, who needs a dose of old fashioned discipline not mollycoddling)
not Tre and Juicy though, he's heading for the clink while Tre is fighting to keep the family afloat and not sinking further into the mire his dodgy dealings and slum landlord tricks have landed them in). You were right.Gia is obviously picking up what she's getting at home, especially now Joe Guidice has been allegedly cheating on Tre. He is utterly repulsive, as is his brother-in-law, the tension is palpable.
I have a sort of grudging respect for Tre after watching her on Zleb Apprentice- she was a hard grafter and, maybe she was overawed by the higher listed B Zlebs she was around, but she was quiet, polite and likeable. What she's having to deal with at the moment I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy, but looking back to when they moved into that monstrosity she calls home, the writing was on the wall.
So much utter tat, so much expense that they couldn't afford. I would rather live in my little semi-detatched home with neighbours I get on with than ever contemplate being in debt and worrying when my douchebag husband was going to jail.
For the first time I am starting to be really critical of Caroline. I've always thought of her as the solid, dependable one, full of motherly common sense. But she's frantically stirring the pot and making sure things dont go smoothly. I also hate her attitude to Lauren's weight. If that's being supportive then shut the hell up woman and say nothing.
Jacqueline decides to have a "field day" a sort of school sports type of activities afternoon. But Gia accuses her uncle of cheating and throws an almighty strop as she's being "tortured". Especially when Jaque tries to read her a book about Being A Bad Sport. Tre rushes in and Gia melts down again.
Meanwhile Joe and the rest of the Guidices are down the shore as Joe cant stand to be around Joey. That goes down a storm as you can imagine when Jacqueline has worked hard so everyone can have fun. Families *sigh* Who needs them or the level of stress among them all at the moment. Only Chris and the Waikilis seem sane at the moment.
For me, not an enjoyable episode. There's a difference between being able to snark and being uncomfortable that the children are listening to all the animosity/hatred and warring going round the adults. It's a bit too close to home and my own horribly disfunctional childhood, for me.
Come on NJ, this franchise used to be my favourite.

A much calmer OC this week, although Tamra tells Alexis what she thinks of her ( I'm starting to like Tamra again, it's being away from the vile Vicki) while Slimey and Gretchen go for counselling. Interesting dynamic in that relationship.
Meant to say that Heather came in for Peggy. I dont think Peggy ever "gelled"
Why cant Kim be like this on the Real HoWives? She's really likeable.
