Havent had a chance to post my thoughts on the latest eps from NJ and NY, Ive been busy this week so here goes

Caught up with NY earlier. Ramona is insane, I actually really do believe that truly after watching this ep. It was one insane meltdown after another. Unfortunately I also think shes taking Sonja along with her, cos Miss Morgan was kinda insane this week aswell.

Ill begin with Sonja and the hot mess of a photoshoot that shes having for this toaster oven of hers, She wasnt in the least bit interested, even though Heather, her team and you know, people who actually work for a living are doing this free of charge for Sonja she was so ungrateful. She turns up late, spends more time worrying about teaching the caterers how to work the bloody toaster oven than she does the photoshoot. And that incident with the tampon?! Ewww! There are no words! Heather was getting more and more annoyed and I dont blame her. As she said "If your a client and Im getting paid to have my time wasted, go ahead. Sonjas getting this for free" She was right. For my opinion I preferred the set up that Heather and her team came up with (however that may just be due to the half naked guy with the seriously hot body that was in the pic - but whatever) Heather astutely realises that Sonja propably isnt going to give her any credit for this fiasco. Shes probably right again!

Now for Ramonas craziness. What better way to promote your wine ( Ramona has branched out into red wine now )than by acting like a total freak at your launch party, that must be how "successful businesswoman" do it! Ramona is miffed that she wasnt invited to Sonjas photoshoot and pulls Sonja aside to bitch about it. Ramona basically decides that its all Heathers fault (isnt everything) and Sonja being totally under Ramonas thumb jumps on the bandwagon and says she felt railroaded by Heather and her team at the shoot , typical of R she pulls Heather aside and has a go at her for basically blackballing her from the shoot even though Sonja was seemingly desperate for Ramona to be there. Apparently Heather should have called ramona to say she wasnt invited to the shoot- this basically just says to R that Heather is always talking behind her back. Yup, crazy!
See, I kinda blame Sonja for this one she has no backbone for some reason so she basically just tells Ramona what she wants to hear, then goes and tells Heather what she thinks she wants to hear. Its ridiculous and I have to remind myself what age these women are!

This craziness continues the next night at a party Sonjas friend is having. This time Aviva pulls Lu aside and has a go about the wine tasting and how it wasnt fair on Ramona, I do quite like Aviva but My God, who cares about the stupid wine tasting, just let it go already. It was tacky yes, but that Lu for you. Pretend your class, but all the morals of an alley cat. Quite why Aviva is so bothered is beyond me. Anyway sensing that hurricane Ramona is about to blow Lu makes a quick exit which leads to Aviva sniping to Mario & Ramona about Jac and his accent which is "so fake" apparently! Heather however overhears all this and isnt impressed- she pulls Aviva aside and tells her calmly that they are speaking about Jac behind his back and isnt Ramona always banging on about people talking behind each others back? Of course R overhears all of this and freaks out big time, screaming and swearing at Heather about talking behind her back. To Heathers credit she didnt engage the lunatic that is Ramona but she did tell Mario that his wife is "crazy". Never a truer word spoken!

Moving onto NJ- I actually quite enjoyed the ep but I think it was the (relative) calm before the storm that will be tonights ep. Ive written loads on NY, so ill keep it brief but I thought the whole canoeing trip was hilarious Melissa falls into the water and has the most ridiculous meltdown, screaming and shouting and thrashing about in her attempts to get back on dry land! How funny when she was literally pushing Joe Gorga under the water. Personally I would have kept him under there! Also have to give a mention to Tre and Melissa in there bedazzled bikinis while the rest were surfing. Melissa likes to "keep it sexy"

Also, Lauren wasnt a happy bunny when she found out Albie had asked his girlfriend to move in. Apparently, all life decisions must be taken through Lauren. I personally think the Manzo kids need to take some time apart from each other though I do agree with Lauren, say anything about the boys and mama Caroline will be all over you like a pitbull, however lauren doesnt get a look in.

Tre sort of half-heartedly made up with Jac, but of course we know that wont last for long!

I have a University degree and spent years teaching. Does that make me a chav? I dont have any children to look after, my housework is done ( the cleaner came yesterday) but you're right, I do have a fat backside. Not caused by over eating but the drugs I have to take as I suffer from a pretty rare condition that.messes up my hormone levels and has limited my mobility greatly. The DM readers (me aside of course ) are truly awful. The endless negativity and spite is beyond normal. I try to just do a hit and run for the gossip but do sometimes post from way up on my high horse lol

In California, where we're all, on the surface, having a sooper dooper time ( with a full counting of knives every night, just to be sure), it's the reason they all went to the Orange State- the winery and business.
Chris, who is the only man I have any timeamong the NJ lot is worried that they'll all get drunk and he's nervous. So having told them this is important for him and the Manzo boys, he asks them to be on their best behaviour.

Are you kidding me? Even without being sloshed the conversation is all about sex. Tre is awful this week, trying to get down and dirty with Joe (ugh) in the vineyards. She starts spouting filth before this though, as she thinks certain things he could do to her will cheer him up.

I am by no means a prude but some things just shouldn't be talked about in public.
Naturally both Joes are at their best demeaning their women by only thinking of them as sex objects.

It's Caroline's 50th birthday and her kids have organised a suprise meal in the most beautiful place. She is overcome, but not enough to stop the bitching about Tre.
And "yes" the infamous phone call gets overheard. Vile toerag and all Teresa wants to do is hump him in partial view of the diners.

Tre makes a speech toasting everyone and friendships mended, especially with Melissa and Jacqui. Caroline immediately takes umbrage because Kathy hasn't been name checked, which I dont think was deliberate.
But all in all Teresa comes off really badly in this episode. She's either spouting off about sexual acts or making it all about her and sounds like she hasn't a clue how important this is to Chris.

At the moment I'm wondering why I watch it.

Over on the East Coast the newbies call total war out on the 3 originals. Heather, in particular, is at odds with all of them for talking behind people's backs. I think she's still pissed at the launch and branding of the fab-u-lous toaster oven.

Aviva has got them all to agree to come to her charity event, riding spinning bikes for children who need artificial limbs. Lu turns up with no idea what it's about, but at least she was there. Ramona and Sonia cancel last minute which upsets Aviva, especially as she's just given them a great break at her home in Miami for free..

Later they have lunch with Ramona and all the rest and Aviva lets rip after listening to their lame excuses. You go girl! It was great, as was the fabulous Carole who I like more and more.

Sonia and Ramona countered being attacked by attacking back. What a pair of spineless, self centred crones they are.

But, my guilty pleasure was listening to Heather and then Aviva going into rant mode. About time too. R guiltily writes a cheque which doesn't please Sonia as "I have my charities"
It's got nothing to do with that, Sonia. YOU'RE BANKRUPT, remember?


Worth watching, unlike NJ which is lunging from bad to worse.

The NJ comments are a shame really - I never thought I'd have preferred it with Danielle there but am not remotely inclined to watch the later ones I must say.

Love Carole! She's brilliant but I do fear for her when the reunion comes around, she's going to get steam-rolled by Ramona's and Sonja's shouting as she doesn't seem the type to shout back - she's too respectable for that.

Sonja needs to go. She's dull and self-centred and doesn't bring anything to the show imo.

Loving Heather more and more, she really knows how to get under Ramona's skin and it's brilliant to watch.

And last of all Mario! like what the hell? Ramona spent the past 4 series moaning about Simon getting involved...this week he was simon reincarnated! He's always lurking around this series and I don't like it one bit. Good for Aviva's husband for defending Heather and asking why he was getting involved, even though flip-flopper Aviva shot him down. I don't get her one minute she's pro Ramona and next She's anti Ramona then pro again. Make your mind up woman.

Love this thread, very informative! For anyone who's interested New Jersey is being shown on Bio starting on Mon the 17th Sept.

I'm up-to-date with NJ, d/l 1st series of BH and rec. 2nd series on Bio. New York and OC have,for me, became hard to watch. Is there any other of housewives shows that are recommended?

Also does anyone know of any good D/L sites i can use for the housewives series? Thanks

NJ has become almost unbearable this season, which is a shame as it used to be my favourite.
Miami is returning, but it was my least favourite, so whether Series 2 will be better we'll see.

I'd recommend the last season of Atlanta. It was right up there for me, after a few seasons of blahness. And if you can get hold of it get Kim's wedding series called "Dont Be Tardy For The Wedding" It shows a totally different side of Kim. I ended up liking her and that's something I never thought I'd say!! A-J ( her baby) is cuteness personified, while Kroy, her husband, has completely transformed her from the white trash ho she was in Series 1.

It's getting harder and harder to find working torrents, I suppose you just have to google until you find one that works. ( so many fakes out there)

Thanks tally, know what you mean about the sites, they're fine when it comes to the later seasons but nearly impossible to get if they're earlier.

Re: NJ - i suppose that's the beauty of FF, find i'm doing an awful lot of that with NY although i am only on season 4 by the sounds of things it improves with arrival of the new women.

Just been catching up with this week’s NJ and NYC.

When did NJ get such a chore to watch! This used to be one of my faves of all the franchises, but S4 is just so hard to watch. The only saving grace is that I think the reunion will be pretty fantastic. Theres just so much animosity between them all now.

Getting back to the ep though, we start out with everyone leaving the camp site and heading to a gorgeous vineyard which is due to a business meeting Chris Laurita is having. I like Chris, hes the best of all the husbands on NJ, and I felt quite bad for him trailing all these loons along with him when he was trying to make a good impression. Its not going to happen with that lot is it, between Juicy Joe complaining like a child during the tour about being hungry, smutty comments, and to top it off Joe Gorga climbing all over an ornament in that cave. It was SO embarrassing. The woman who owned the vineyard didn’t look too impressed either!

Agree with tally, Tre was ridiculous this week. Apparently if Juicy Joe doesn’t get sex at least once a day, he gets grumpy, Eww! TMI Tre, TMI!

Of course we also get to hear this infamous phone call. I feel sorry for Tre, shes got no clue what a vile loser her hubby is. The names he called her! Id have killed him when I heard that back Hes a vile man. To make it worse though, clueless Tre decides to drag him off into the vineyards to have her way with him. I almost lost my lunch. And everyone else could see/hear them. Ugh!

I though Carolines b-day dinner was lovely in the vineyard though. The view was gorgeous (not the one of Tre and Juicy!) and it was a lovely setting. Still cant stand Caroline though, she goes on about not getting involved in other people business, but yet all she can do is bitch and moan about Tre at any given moment. Shes stuck on repeat that one, silly cow. Jac meanwhile is still stuck in delusion land, she would rather have any friendship with Tre than none and its ok if they just don’t “get too deep” with each other from now on. Anyways, we all know it doesn’t last.

There was also the big to do about Tre’s speech that she made at dinner. Saying how lovely it was to spend time with Melissa, and Jac. And she even half heartedly wished Caroline a happy b-day. All the while ignoring to mention Kathy who was sat next to her. Caroline of course took offence to this declaring it a “mean toast”. Honestly, I don’t think Tre really meant anything by it, and I really don’t think it was some dig at Kathy. She just doesn’t think.

NY was fun this week. We picked up at the party where Heather called Ramona "crazy" which I still think is fabulous. And True! I think there was a part of mario that didnt entirely disagree either!

I ve written quite a bit on NJ so ill keep it short, as I think tally summed it up perfectly this week anyway!

It was nice to see Aviva really lose it this week. Shes spent all season more or less straddling the fence and trying (and failing) to defend the crazy loon that is Ramona, she had a charity spin event in aid of children who need artificial limbs. I did love Lu turning up clearly not having a clue what it was actually about! But as has been said, at least she was there.I did laugh when they played Lu's song though, and she sat there pretending to be humility personified. As if! Ramona and Sonja cry off pretty much at the exact same time with ridiculous excuses- Sonja has an incontinent dog so she cant possibly go anywhere. Whatever. I used to like Sonja, she was a bit eccentric and a bit mad, but I liked her. She was fun. Now shes so under Ramonas thumb and clearly boarded the Ramona crazy train. She needs to get a grip. Quickly!

Anyway, at lunch, Aviva loses it completely and lets rip at them with their crap (in Sonjas case, literally) excuses! I loved seeing her go off on one. "Its not about me, its about the children with no legs" Even Ramona, try as she might cant argue with that one! Carole was fabulous as usual, her eyes darting back and forth between the drama like shes watching some insane tennis match. And Im really liking Heather now, mostly due to the fact she just really, really gets under Ramonas skin. Its great!

I did at Ramona quickly writing a cheque and at Sonjas face, I agree with tally, Sonja was just mortified as she cant afford it. Shes so broke the thought of having to write a cheque to Aviva was propably bringing her out in a sweat!

Oh and I cant even bring myself to relive Sonja and Ramona at the plastic surgeons office. The sight of Ramona in those hot pink briefs dryhumping the table was above and beyond!

Next ep they are off to St Barts and it looks like Aviva utters the "white trash" line Ive waited all season for!

Id agree with tally- Id give Atlanta a watch. I love it. Ive always liked it, but season 3 and 4 particularly are very good. And Kims spin off "Dont be tardy for the wedding" I LOVED. I cried at the wedding, and I never thought Kim would have me shed a tear lol

Id maybe give Miami a watch aswell. Season 1 was awful, so boring. But maybe try watching from season 2, it starts up soon and from the preview it looks much better than season 1.

Just finished watching episode 17 of RHONJ and all I got to sum it up is "Caroline sure knows how to hold a grudge". She basically spent the entire episode rehashing the old argument about Tre's cookery book comments about her being 1/19th Italian! FFS love just get over it. Of course Tre is selling stories to the press, she's 11 million quid in debt, who wouldn't be? Juicy Joe was his usual classy self, puffing on a cigar the entire time and downing a barrel of red wine. Jacqueline pretended to be asleep for the whole episode, while Kathy (bless her) was trying to play peace keeper between them all (which didn't go too well). It all ended with Caroline crying herself to sleep and Tre, her brother, siter in law and Joe high tailing it back to the NJ as they got a little sick of bulldog Manzo harping on about how fake Tre is. Quite looking forward to the next week as our beloved Dina Manzo is making a guest appearance. I hope she brings Her saggy cat grandma wrinkles with her! From the preview anyway it appears that Dina is siding with Tre and not her estranged sister. This should be good.

I dont think I've ever seen a display of such malice in any of the RHoWives shows. She's getting torn to shreds on Bravo. And boy, she deserves it.

According to a website I was reading last night ( sorry, I've forgotten which one, if I find it I'll post the link) they aren't shooting Series 5. Jacqueline says they all need a break so they're on a "hiatus". or maybe they're going to ditch NJ completely. It's been painful to watch this season, no levity, just hate, hate, hate.

And Teresa has now fallen out with everyone and isn't speaking to anyone. So immature, they are all as bad as each other. Grown women who actually have got past the "Mean Girl" stage of school are watching this lot in horror. At least this one is. Not many women I know ( make that none) would ever behave in such a ridiculously childish, malicious way.

I know the Season 4 NJ reunion will be immense! Jacqueline has stated on her Bravo blogs that she will be attending this year - but from what I gather, the 5 of them haven't been in the same room as each other in almost a year.

Am I the only one who suspects the reason there isn't any word on Season 5 yet is because producers are planning on adding new cast members? Or even letting some current ones go? Isn't that what they did after Season 2 - remove Danielle and add Melissa and Kathy right after that reunion.

From the season previews early on it seems there's an argument between Joe Gorga and Kim D still to come. What's the chances that she'll become a fully fledged housewife next year?
